3. (a+2) ∈ Ν
4. a mod 2 = 1
5. lim x→2 [(a+x) mod 2] = 1
6. |f(x)-L| = |(a+x)mod2 - 1| < ε
7. |(a+x)mod2 - 1| < ε

Okay, I admit it. I have no freaking idea what the reverse of mod2 is. I'm pretty sure that there is no reverse.

Let's try another definition.

1. N = {all natural numbers}
2. a ∈ N
3. m = 2a-1 <--- always-odd number
4. m mod 2 = 1
5. b = 2a+1 <-- Simplest definition of an always-odd number
6. b mod2 = 1 <--- Also definition of an odd number
7. c = 2a + 2 <--- Definition of an even number, divisible by two
8. c mod2 = 0 <--- c is divisible by 2
9. Therefore, {a|a mod 2 = 1 & (a+2) mod 2 ≠ 1} ∉ N

I'm not sure that I understand what you're trying to prove here.
I guess I'm just not maths-savvy enough... but I think they're trying to do the same as others did with Fermat's theorem, just let a computer do the work. That doesn't work, though, when you're working with infinities, since you only have a finite amount of time at your disposal.
