Jed's Beautiful Ground
Somebody woke up one day and wondered what to do of his old Apple II.
Well, he picked up a song and used his Apple II to create the video.
The result is actually quite good and poetic.
Jeddy-3, a humanoid robot built from spare parts, is a recurring character in Grandaddy's 2000 album "The Sophtware Slump." According to Grandaddy, before Jed's system crashed he wrote poems. Poems for no one. Perhaps this was his last output before he died.
Programmed entirely in Applesoft BASIC on a 1979 Apple ][+ with 48K of RAM--a computer so old it only types in capitals and has no up or down arrow keys, let alone a mouse. Jeff Bernier worked a miracle packaging the video in one night and Mark Owens gave some valuable compression advice.

No it doesn't...It took like 3 seconds for me and i only have DSL.
*Hides from the possible Sarcasm*

There was music with just the blinky cursor for a little bit. I began to think that that was the joke, and then more stuff happened. I didn't notice it taking long to d/l however. I was commenting so that the less patient viewer would wait for the magic.
I see.
bah my dsl is fsked up anyways.
Awesome!
I wonder how you synchronize the blinking cursor with the beat.
I wonder how you synchronize the blinking cursor with the beat.
if you looked carefully it wasnt synchronizeded
How close do I have to look? Once the instruments begin the cursor blinking slows to synch with the beat.
