Cape Cod is very nice, the traffic can be brutal, the humidity can be brutal (air conditioning is your friend), but in the end I find it very enjoyable, my parents have a house around Wellfleet bay and being 16 I end up going there when they do.
1. The beach. Be it whatever ocean, I just like the beach.
2. New England, particularly Maine. Read too many Stephen King novels, I guess.
3. England. Bloody bastard got on some kind of castle reconstruction maintenance program for foerigners, so he got to go there for free and get paid while there! Veru little real work, tons of sight-seeing.

I've been to the U.S. Vrgin Islands a couple of times now. We stayed on St. Thomas but checked out the other islands. I really loved the pace, the scenery, the weather, the water, the wildlife...
>where have you heard of vacaioning that you would really like to go?
I visited Cabo San Lucas on a cruise not too long ago. That seemed pretty nice, though the water was rough and the seaweed I thought I was swimming in turned out to be thousands of thumb-sized green jellyfish (which didn't sting too badly, luckily). I'd like to try the British Virgin Islands because I hear they are very nice, and I've yet to try the Hawiian Islands but I hear the smaller islands are quite nice.

Frinds of mine just got back from Alaska and loved it. It was partly a cruise to see the ice, and partly an inland journey to see the life. Sounded good. Another couple I know just back from Paris and loved it.
I have no plans to do either. I deal with people of all walks of life every day. Vacation for me is an island paradise, good company, good books, decent food, warm clear water, and a sloooow island pace.

There is a bed and breakfast here in ohio that my wife and I regularly visit, called ravenwood castle. The owners built it about 10 years ago, themed (and designed like on the outside) as a (duh) castle.

Its very peaceful place where there are no phones, tv's, radios, computers or clocks in the rooms or the main area of the castle. The service is excellent and its a very unique change of pace.

Hong Kong. I looove Hong Kong. There's always something to do, and you never feel like a stupid tourist doing it. Washington DC is nice too.

Italy. France. Somewhere in Europe...

My favorite place to vacation: Thailand. Been going once or twice a year since 1998.
(I'm headed back in 27 days...)
Where have I heard of that I want to go? Vietnam.
Where has someone else gone that they won't stop talking about? India.
And it's unanimous... they all say "DON'T GO !!!" (I will probably go anyway...)
