For immediate realease: The UIT strikes back!
In the last week or so, the UIT have been plagued with attacks by undesirable and cowardly external forces who seek to prey on our peaceful traders and visitors. These attacks have been carried out against weaker and in some cases nearly defenseless pilots attempting to make a decent living in these dangerous times.
While we are all accustomed to the "pirating problem", one brazen pirate, now know to be the infamous and feared Itani, Jsteiner, of the Syndicate pirating guild, went so far as to invade and attempt to control one of the Unions core wormholes. While a peaceful solution was hoped for, it was not to be.
Last evening a brave and resolute coalition of pilots, hailing from the many worlds of the Union of Independant Territories(UIT), sought out a permenant solution to this problem and exercised our sovereign right to defend our nation.
Ranging over 2 sectors in 2 systems (through the Azek J-1 wormhole) this just fight involved as many as 7 UIT pilots at once. Some UIT pilots involved in this fight had simply been passing through the wormhole, and seeing the just actions of there fellow Union members, joined to help repel this despicable pirate.
The fight was long and hard, with the pirate using such tactics as leaving the system, only to return and strike again. This pirates accusations of unfairness on the part of the UIT went ignored, as he has been known to have destroyed many pilots much weaker then himself for sheer profit. The UIT pilots acted bravely, justly and morally in defense of our sovereign nation.
Only time will tell if their actions were successful in repelling the invader, but let it be know that the Union of Independant Territories will defend it borders from those who wish to do harm to any person (Union or not) who seeks to do peaceful business within the borders of this great Union!

But when you put down a dog who has willfully, deliberately attacked weaker creatures simply for fun.
Let this be a message to all would-be pirates: the Itani and Serco may be mortal enemies repeatedly biting at each other, but we of the UIT believe in peaceful trade--and we will not hesitate to ensure the peace and safety of our trading and those we do business with.

I advise you UIT be wary, just because we are disorganized doesnt mean us pirates wont organize to put down a common threat to our honorable and dignified way of life.
