1 mil.

...but I don't use much on licences.... cause my skills are low..

did it take you long to make it?
i made my money in like 10 or 20 minutes...(very good trade route, will stay a secret one:) )

what i think the problem with it is that no one trades any more in those days, so when one does trade he can make a fortun in a very short time...and there is'nt much use for money now...you dont get killed that much (if at all)

Money is too easy to get right now. The Black Market can get you around 100k in 15-30 mins if done right. Maybe even with less time. Anyway, just through trade missions alone I'm already well over 1.5 million credits. No real trading, just the missions themselves with their meager time bonuses. And okay... maybe a little pirating on the side. But still... lots of credits right there, and I'm probably the poorest player of my skill level.

A: what's your skill lvl?
B: you can make by just plain trading (not black market) much more! (if done right:) )

Check this thread for a list of levels for players. Although it's about 2-3 weeks old by now. I updated mine anyway.

Trade as it is is massively unrewarding. Why seek a higher trade level if chances are good that you won't get anything for your trouble?

I've got 20k!!! boo-yah!

How do you people do the black market stuff? I can't find anything good with it. I'm guessing doing it in s18 is better than doing it in s15, but is it?

not enough.

ctishman, trading as it is is my only alternative from fighting!

myself, i'm not a fighter. never was good very at it (though so players dissagree with me) and i get bored very quickly chasing bots (which is the only way pogress in levels well for a trader).

I think both trade and combat should give you engines and batteries as you level up. I've always been for the idea of allowing players to choose their own specialized roles. For example if you want to be a fighter pilot only, forget about the trade missions! Just focus on the combat ones and you'll be fine. Take it a step further and allow players to choose between specializing in light or heavy weapons. Depending on what your favorite ship and configuration is, you'll be able to choose which path you want.

And if a trader wants to do nothing but trade, well they should be able to damnit! Weapons and ships that are associated with each appropriate task will be given to the player, rather than requiring everyone to take every skill available. The key term in MMORPG here is "role-playing". Having a pilot who is versatile in various skills may be okay for some people, but I think many of us would rather not waste time in doing tasks that they wouldn't even use later on, just so you can get such and such an engine or battery.

Anyway, just my two cents. I'm sure the game is headed towards more specialized roles. At least I hope so. Granted yes, it would take a lot more time to make more specialized items... but it'll be worth it in the long run.

I go with arolte.
never the less, a trader (or fighter) should'nt be able to get all the items as the other.
there must be some deep thinking done about what items are to be given to all the lisences (such as basic weaponary, engines and some ships).

I keep 17 mill around with me, usually, though I often blow all that money on loads of mines :D... then I do some missions/bot till I'm at 17 mill again.

i stopped collecting money at 3 mil, I currently carry about 1.5-2 mil on me at any given time. trade 11 makes for easy money.
