Anti-"I'm leaving" - where are you X05?
blabla, the community sucks, blabla.
I've been there. I've started that thread.
Now I'm back.
Why did I not leave?
Lin, UncleDave, FiReMaGe, PlayeR, <some itani scum pirate my character hates but the real me thinks is great>, harvestmouse, Mick etc etc etc.
I consider myself a POSITIVE member of the community.
Heck, I made the "soon"-gif and think the whole IWBO is alot of fun. I'm starting to feel like Vendetta is something I will play long after DooM 12 has been released. I only wish I could do it for a living!
If you think the community sucks, STAY IN IT!
The people that would leave because of it are the people that could make it better!
If you leave you're dooming the community.
Let's call it "Vendetta, Griefing In Space"!
I say:
When someone is testing, defend them.
When someone is being attacked, aid them.
(BTW, thanks Lin and Mick for defending me in s14 that time!)
When a newbie comes along, train them.
When someone floods the chat inform the newbies how to /ignore and do so yourself.
Back when I was new this guy called X05(and more numbers I don't remember) took me under his wing. (I'm just assuming "he" is male, I don't really know.)
He came swooping into s6 from an unknown location and gave me four peiecs of mysterious cargo. "High-yeld acidics".
I was amazed.
He helped me in excange for a promise that I would never pirate.
I have to this day never fired a shot on anyone that has not fired on me first or fired upon someone requesting my assistance.
(FlagCap not included. Duh.)
THAT was a warm welcome, but while he was helping me a griefer came out of nowhere and blew me away. No reason given.
I was in a bus with maybe 100 in score and 40 in bounty.
Did I leave? no. Did I want to? Yeah.
So why didn't I?
Because X05 said something to the effect of "Don't mind the assholes. There are alot of good people in this game."
Let's make vendetta better. Don't leave!
If you're gonna leave, just do so.

AMEN bro! That's what I've been saying for the past 6 or 7 months, when people started leaving a lot. If you're not part of the solution, you're part of the problem. The problem is too many apathetic holes who don't want to foster a good community, and the solution is outnumbering them. Leaving is selfish and just leaves everyone else one less comrade.

I might as well announce it now... I'll probably come online temporarily this weekend to say hi to everybody. For those of you to whom this doesn't mean much, well, obviously you haven't been paying attention in sector 7, now have you?
I will be rejoining the group when 3.4 is released. *gets buried in a pile of confetti* The Makchuga will be hosting a party out at the Roid (someone will have to show me where it is) in sc7 this weekend, prolly on saturday. I'll go bump the menu, so you can double check it and refresh your memories.

what do you do if you trained a person to play ven and the person turns to... the dark side? grief him/her for it? help him/her? (repeated tries to change the person's mind proved to be in vain).

-Find their orphaned son/daughter and train them too. Then let yourself be killed by the person in question in their son/daughter's sight, but make sure to say "If you strike me down I shall become more powerful than you could possibly imagine." Then, their son/daughter will inevitably return to exact vengance.

I'm glad you have taken notice to my advise, as I havn't.
I now kill everyone above 10k score, I wish I could go back to my old self and yes I am Male, thanks again, now I can look up to you seeing how far you have come following those rules

Demonen, I have changed once again to my old self, I am on a new char untill I hvae got used to not KoS and pirating, I hope I can make it back.....
