On Behalf of the ECAV I am here to tell you about us. We are a new guild, and our identities are secret for now. We seek to make the community better and help some new players. Of course, this is what other guilds in the past have done unsuccessfully. We will try, but we may be unsuccessful too. If you wish to join, please reply to this post and leave your email address, or talk to any ECAV member on the game. They will relay to you more information about joining and the purpose of the guild. We do not wish to take over and spam chats with what we're going to do like other guilds in the past have done. We are mainly NT for now due to the fact that most of the griefers we are against are on other nations. We do plan to become multi-national but more members are needed.

*add-on* 3/21/04 at 6:55 EST. Hello again. (Yes, I know I sound stupid) Our guild was created to clean up the Vendetta Community and let new players actually enjoy the game. We would like to have SUPPORT from people, not negativity (betcha you've never used that word) about our guild. Yes Snuffy, we do hunt griefers, so that new players can actually get around without dying every 3 seconds. Veteran players do not make the world go round, as much as we would like them to. So, you can take from that sentence how many vets we have. I'm not saying that vets can't join, that would be great if they wanted to, but you know... yeah. Anyways, please help us, and we will not attack you in-game if you don't attack us or grief other players. Should you choose to though, we will be after you. Thanks.

Unless you can suddenly get better than most of the people of SAW and lots of INM, you really can't effect anything. How many vets do you have?

But grunadulater, what your saying doesn't make sense, everyone has to start somewhere. You don't start out with the best people. For e.g: Starbuck, like in southpark. Heh heh good episode.

After my brief brushin with you I fear you might just be yet another all-too-triggerhappy group who will take the side of any griefer or pirate as they get hunted down.

Consider that newbies can avoid being griefed simply by not leaving the home sectors. If you're not skilled enough to protect yourself I really dont see why "griefers" should be faulted for killing people stupid enough to leave the safety of their home sectors.

Indeed, DR, any experienced pilot knows that he puts himself at risk for attack if he leaves the safety of the sectors that his nation controls. This guild seems pointless.

DR, can I please suggest that noobs will get nowhere if they never leave their home sectors? You've left your home sector. I've left mine too. If they don't leave their home sectors, then they never will learn the ropes or get anything accomplished. Is there anything at all that you can do in your home sector? No, just fly around and shoot at roids. That's not my description of a fun game. I don't seek for anyone to return this, just leave it, and no arguing. That's not what this thread is for. (But of course, there will be some, that's how the world is. Just don't say anything if you're going to argue with us)

*Add-on* Stress, we are sorry for repeatedly destroying you. Other members must have noticed you doing something that provoked them. We don't want to make many enemies, and would like to ask you to drop your grudge against us. We won't attack unless attacked first. Well good luck with ECAV but I must wonder how you intend to do what the DSG, SM, SAW, and the SDF (kinda) have all failed at?

Please do tell us how you are going to do it becasue I welcome the change to a cleaner society where perhaps the DSG, SDF, and SM aren't nessicary to guard against greifers and pirates.

I still remember the SDF, I believe they are the good guys on serco? Anyway I welcome any guild that is around to try and help prevent griefers, however unless you have some ace's up your sleeve, it's hard to make a difference. Mostly you spend your time trading so you accumulate enough wealth to fund your ships. Then you die, then you trade more so you can buy more ships....

Well, let's see. To reply to you Pyroman, we are still in the first stages. We are getting our Constitution touched up, and after that, we will have a clearer purpose. We're basically going to try to get enough money for now to support each of us for a while and then go about what we're trying to do. We of course can't guarantee that we will stay around and succeed in doing what everyone else hasn't been able to. Oh, and one thing. I don't think the SAW ever set out to prevent griefing. They are the Serco Attack Wing, so that doesn't sound like a "peace" group. Also, I'm partly saying that because they're everyone's enemy now, and our guild hasn't gotten on their good side at all. One more thing, if anyone has figured out that our name is the Elite Confederation Army of Vendetta, we aren't really elite for now, but we're trying. See everyone around Vendetta.

DOH! Why hasn't any other guild thought of creating a Constitution....

When the DSG was in existence we had a Constitution that dictated in very clear terms what a DS pilot was allowed to do and what was off-limits. It stated the philosophic intent of the guild as well as order of operations.

I've since trashed it..... Jason, do you still have it?

ECAV seem to be doing a good job of protecting the intrests of the light sided charictors in the game, Even when out numbered they seem to be superior fighters. All though i dont see much chat from them in game, they are most definatly making a diference.

-Gone I'm afraid. It has been rewritten though, twice. And when the guild is back up it will be rewritten again to work within the framework of the new beta.

Well, thanks for the actually positive comments!! :P I've just gotten back from my Spring Break, so the Board will be updated more often. The ECAV members normally are in a group, so we don't chat much on the everyone board. We are trying to stay out of people's ways, so as to not annoy them and get enemies. Anyways, see everyone around Vendetta.

Well, just a word or two to show where we are now. We now have 8 members (including me) and seek a person who can train new players. If anyone is interested, pm any ECAV player in-game (especially [ECAV]0031, the leader) and they can give you info on joining. We have to okay you first to let you join. Most of the players on Vendetta currently could join, just we want to safeguard our guild from problematic players. Anyways TTFN, see everyone.
