C'mon gold

I may rarely play as the gold nation (neutrals), and I may not really be a part of the team, because there is none! There may as well be 2 nations because the gold nation has deteriorated to the point where there is no teamwork, guilds, anything. The last thing good that happened to the gold nation was the -SM- , wich I might add ended in total disaster :/

So true. I couldn't put up with it either. Heck, even Lin left Neutral Territories at one point because of it. Because we don't yet have the technology to control the minds of other human beings, you've got one of three options in a situation like this:

1. Stay on Neutral Territories and start training newbies. This will set the foundation for a stronger nation. Be prepared to spend A LOT of time and money on your part. Fortunately in the long run it'll pay off. The most important thing for a newbie to learn is to become financially stable. Nobody likes to help a chronic begger, and you certainly don't want someone who can only afford one ship to fight along your side. Then later on move towards teaching them how to defend themselves. And finally becoming part of the offensive line.

2. Take some time off from playing and hope that some of the veterans will return when some major updates start rolling in again. Unfortunately some of these veterans have left Vendetta due to real life issues. Others have simply become tired of the constant bickering or have wanted additional content to satisfy their low attention spans. Whatever the case may be you really start to become aware of how important they really are when they aren't around to back you up. There's nothing more volatile to a nation's morale than the lack of veterans.

3. Switch to either Itani or Serco; whichever one is the better of the two for you. If you're on Neutral Territories and you've been struggling to defend yourself against a particular nation, do yourself a favor and switch to the nation that is the lesser evil of the two. At least with whichever one you go with you'll have teammates who will help you out, unlike a particular nation that WE KNOW. And hey, you'll finally be able to get that revenge you've always wanted!

I have one thing to say, but Dylan Thomas said it better:

Do not go gentle into that good night
Rage Rage against the dying of the light.

Dave Thomas once said, "There's no one to stop you but yourself."

Dave Thomas made some good burgers. Or was that Thompson? I dunno. Poor guy, R.I.P. I love Wendy's. lol. And, I might consider a move to Gold eventually, if I can bring a few vets with me. We shall see. Still too busy to play much. :/

Same character. Now is a time where the Serco-Itani War is most intense, so he has joined the Serco once again to protect his homeland. Always gotta go back to your roots.

=D

Arolte, well thats not always true: i was on itani 1st, and you dont see me giving up on the NT nation. the only reason im not on more is the entire charges thing. if i was on more, i could, and would, help rebuild the NT nation.

1 note: rebuilding takes time and effort. determination is also a key part to rebuilding. i'm not a veteran but im not a noob either, so i figure i might as well try to rebuild the nation even though im not very good at doing much but bot.

-io

those who wish to help me, may. those who dont wish to, dont have to. its up to the individual, and the individual alone. i, personally, will stick with the rebuilding though.

Well, anybody that is experienced really. I didn't know what other term to use so I put "veteran" down. I don't mean like pre-3.2 players. Just anyone that knows what they're doing and can hold their own.

Well it only takes 1 person to get it rolling. I really hope NT turns around as it would fill the big power vaccuum between Serco and Itani.

In rebuilding your biggest priority has to be to new players. Bribe them, train them, do what you have to, to get new people on your team. Giving them a place to learn and grow as players will keep them on your team and in vendetta. Thats why the INM focuses so much on training new players. It keeps them on Itani. Never underestimate the power of 40 newbs ganging up:P

Power vacuum? For the longest time Serco was the outcast of the three nations. Both Neutral and Itani went crazy with flag captures when 3.2 came out. It wasn't until recently that Serco finally stepped up to the plate and gained power. But at the expense of The Neutral Territories. And before all this even happened the Itani were the ones struggling.

To sum it up:
Vendetta 3.1.x--Neutral Territories dominating. Itani and Serco at its weakest.
Vendetta 3.2.x--Itani dominating. Neutral Territories okay. Serco at its weakest.
Vendetta 3.3.x--Itani and Serco dominating. Neutral Territories at its weakest.

yes and if we can mke it look like this

3.4x- Balance

I would be happy

Vendetta 3.2.0 - 3.2.5, Serco at its strongest. The old prom was BRUTAL.

Ahh Arolte I won't leave Serco for a while, don't worry. Maybe when NT is getting completely and utterly raped, instead of just most of the time. :/

I think that Neutral Territories should literally be "Neutral Territories". It's obvious that Itani and Serco are just duking it out right now. NT isn't really part of the war. Except for maybe a few guilds allying with either side, NT needs to be less of a group than Itani and Serco. It needs to be "the other guys", the ones that the neutral players can join to not be part of the war. Not that it'll stop the griefers, but maybe they griefers will be preoccupied with fighting eachother.

Congrats to the Neutral Territorities!!!! On Monday, March 23, 2004 at about 8:00 PM Eastern Standard Time, we outnumbered both Itani and Serco. w00t!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (self-implied more exclamations)!

/me smells a comeback.

-People like you are the reason our nation is dying, so with all due respect, Shove It!
Neutral doesn't mean you don't fight. Neutral means you aren't aligned with either side. That doesn't mean the NT doesn't fight for its own interests. It's just another nation and it will fight if it needs to. Pacifism is nice on the surface, but while our flag is being taken and our traders can barely leave their home sectors without getting tri-flared, it's nothing more than a pleasant fiction. There is no such thing as a Neutral nation as of this moment. Only the nations that are being beaten and the nations that are doing the beating. Who do you want to be?
