How to be considered hostile
here are some very good ways for a beginning pilot to get themselves into a painful situation for their future game of vendetta.
*) Attack any and all ships that appear in front of you in the hud, regardless of ship style and behaviour.
*) If the person you attack stand off and stop firing once you have been reduced to 50% hull, keep attacking.
*) Demand tribute or cargo from other players.
*) Repeatedly ask for help, money, cargo.
*) Demand assistance from teammates everytime you are being attacked by NPC.
*) ask repeatedly to be taken to s18. If somone agrees, show up with a EC-88.
*) if you get a loan, burn all the money on fighting bots, then ask for another.
*) reply FU when (experienced)pilots in sector chat say "Not hostile"

lol, sad to say there are stupid enough people out there that actually have done this stuff.
yes, it's rather sad. 4 Itani newbs engaged me about a month ago saying the same things, in busses I might add. A barrel of laughs to see those pop-guns busses have going against a fully-loaded Serco Vulture. Wouldnt DE though so ....
yes, its fairly sad. And unfortunately its common enough behaviour, at least some of them, to be nearly recognized by all.
At this time I've ignored plenty of same-team characters, and considered switching to another team just for the pleasure of hunting them down and making them shut up.
(However, such behaviour would be too far out of character for me)
It's annoying, however I'd ask others to help me out fostering said players into not being too annoying in the future.
That means when they attack, hurt them, then stand off. Your pride as a pilot can take it not to kill them, even when they are in their first valk. Just boost away and leave them smoking.
When they strive utterly to annoy, inform them, then ignore them. Don't fall into the competition of being most annoying.
When they ask for money, go ahed, give them a small sum (5-10k) once, but also tell them how its wise to spend it. Many a newbie has fallen for the urge of putting too much of their small amount of cash in the single ship that just got blasted out as they realized they didn't bind their weapons.....
when they repeatedly ask for help to get to secret sectors, evaluate how they fly, and how they fare overall, if they've made their first 200k or so, it shouldn't nearly be a problem. (Tell them so)
When they find their first tri-flare valk. Blast it out of the sky.
....oops.. let my aggressions take over there for a moment....
erm. When they find their first tri-flare valk, take them out, and if you're unable to (centaurs aren't the best fighterships, even against newbies) ask an appropiate military force for assistance. There are always people who will explain just how to not behave.
If they are rude/aggressive in chat. ignore them.
And yes, I'm trying to get a better approach to beginners here in vendetta. I know some players will be bound to make it as difficult as they can to be a beginner, fearing that new faces will reduce their might and glory in the closed circle of people they see fit to play.

So that explains your four PKs then?

Im sure that wasn't directed at me. Yes, that explains maybe as high as 15 PKs for me. Im not sure of my exact number anyway. I dont care, I care only about getting the job done, period.
