Red Rover will begin on Wednesday, July 15th at 6 PM CST (2300 GMT) and repeat weekly thereafter
- Two teams, Fennus and ApuTech, hunt hostile bots in separate locations.
- Pick a side before we start: fly to the announced spot and message the Observer bot "hi".
- Your goal — land "clean kills" (99%+ damage on a hostile) to score for your team. Each one pays XP.
- Once per event, you can drag an enemy pilot onto your turf.
- The call, in channel 100: "Red Rover Red Rover send [player] right over" — and they're yanked to you.
- Careful: a summoned pilot can't score back home until they return — but they CAN fire on your bots and your team.
- Twenty minutes. Most clean kills takes the round.
Red Rover is a space-age take on the schoolyard classic. In two separate locations, teams of players — Fennus and ApuTech — square off against groups of hostile NPC bots. To play, join a team at its announced location by messaging the Observer bot there "hi" before the event begins. The hostiles you face scale to the relative strength of your team. You score a clean kill by dealing 99% or more damage to a hostile at your location — and each one carries an experience reward.
Here's the twist. Once per event, you can summon a pilot from the opposing side to your own location. In channel 100, call out: "Red Rover Red Rover send [player] right over." If that pilot hasn't been called yet, they're teleported straight to you. It's a gamble — the summoned pilot stops scoring for their own team until they make the trip home, so it's a way to deny the enemy points at the peak of the round. But they arrive live and hostile, free to turn their guns on your bots and your teammates. Results are unpredictable. Use it well.
After 20 minutes, the team with the most clean kills wins the round and is rewarded. Your standing on the leaderboard is set by your lifetime clean kills — so every round you play, you climb.
