The new meaning of -SM-

Feb 23, 2004 Jm262 link
oh man this is just great, so many wright-offs of my infamous guild "The Mafia" which had i think 1 member, we didn't do that much but uh...yeah.

Anyway, the sm is a pointless guild, and I don't see it being any better even with a guild system. So basically I'm going to kill all sm on site, except flea due to the fact that he's not really an sm, he's just to lazy to get rid of the tag.

1, 2, 3, 4, I declare a flame war.
Feb 23, 2004 doran2k link
Ahem,

Since Flea has decided to depart that pretty much leaves me and one other Newb. We will not be changing the name of the guild, and for the time being I'm putting the guild on hold, unless i hear of people expressing interest in it. Whatever actions that 01 and serotonin did in the past, well that's in the past. If anyone would like to join an NT Guild just right me at SM_guild2@hotmail.com

They could enter a power vaccuum amongst themeselves over control. I've seen it happen before, (when I first introduced Black 1) and it could've destroyed the SDF.

And yes, their civil war amongst the SM could easily cause them to become an all nation war force, randomly killing people and themeselves alike.

Also, the SM from what I've seen, could never hope to challenge any other nation.

And, the Russian Defense Force, is a POS, they dont have a single operational MiG-class fighter currently, half their weapons are on the verge of total corrosion. They have no hope. roughly 1/2 of their troops are conscripted and have no moral.

And moreover, the history of the SDF speaks for itself. We;ve assisted Serco craft at nearly all major engagements since founding including:

Serco Battles in s5
Cap element return flights
Capping
All SDF Mass Cap
Defending Sercos during Incarnate and a1's Nuke duels (I personnally rammed my craft into a Nuke to save 2 other Sercos)

Lol. Pyro, please cut the crap. Role-playing is one thing. Fantasizing is another. It sounds like you have tens of thousands of bureaucratic workers behind you. You don't have to speak legalese.

I suggest you all invest in one of these.

Seriously, just calm down.

"They could enter a power vaccuum amongst themeselves over control. I've seen it happen before, (when I first introduced Black 1) and it could've destroyed the SDF."
-Yes, I can see how a 2 man guild constitutes a power vacuum.

"And yes, their civil war amongst the SM could easily cause them to become an all nation war force, randomly killing people and themeselves alike."
-Oh, I didn't know they turned Friendly Fire on.

"Also, the SM from what I've seen, could never hope to challenge any other nation."
-So you just contradicted yourself. What's your point?

"And, the Russian Defense Force, is a POS, they dont have a single operational MiG-class fighter currently, half their weapons are on the verge of total corrosion. They have no hope. roughly 1/2 of their troops are conscripted and have no moral."
-How the hell did the Russian military get into this?

"And moreover, the history of the SDF speaks for itself. We;ve assisted Serco craft at nearly all major engagements since founding including:

Serco Battles in s5
Cap element return flights
Capping
All SDF Mass Cap
Defending Sercos during Incarnate and a1's Nuke duels (I personnally rammed my craft into a Nuke to save 2 other Sercos)"
-Oh really? So the SDF participates in battles, caps flags, and looks out for fellow Sercos? How is this different from what every Gold vet. does for his teammates?

I see that Pyroman_Ace has managed to hijack yet another thread having absolutly nothing to do with the SDF.

Pyroman_Ace, let the -SM- be for awhile and lets see how things develop. I'm willing to let the past rest and give the guild formally known as SpaceMonkeys it's shot at redemtion. Let it be.

Seriously ya'll, a guild of two is not going to go around and start pirating. Don't worry, if this guild does rebound, it will be a peaceful one.

I'd like to apologize for Black 1 (pyroman), I let him out of his office at SDF HQ and he went nuts. I'll lock him up again and loop his com-lines back into themselves so the only one who he can talk to is himself.

Come on sir, time for a nap. :)

(pyro, you really do need to calm down a bit)

His dedication to his cause is commendable, but he lacks Serco diplomacy skills (he is prone to compromise) and fails to see "the big picture" at times. We have been watching over his command over the SDF for some time now, and our opinions are split down the middle.

We do however feel that someone with such loyalty to his nation should be given opportunity to prove themself.
Feb 24, 2004 Spellcast link
Personally i find nothing wrong with compromise as long as its the other fellow doing it. :)

I suspect he will settle down some once he matures a bit. Also once the gods (or devs in this case) allow us to discipline underlings more effectively we plan to set up a more effective chain of command so that problems such as we've had in the past wont occur again.
Feb 24, 2004 Magus link
I see him behaving as all Serco do. With a tragically inflated view of their own importance. Beware ye denizens of Prometheus. Thy pride shall be thy dowfall!
Feb 24, 2004 UncleDave link
We take pride in our service, and our loyalty to our Lady. It is as such that we are the most formidable nation. Filthy mercenaries such as yourself could never hope to understand that we have no faults save absurd bravery; and WE SHALL SMITE YE DOWN IN A HAIL OF FIRE!

Disclaimer: our description of this NT pilot does not apply to all NT pilots. Some of them are pacifist cowards, double-crossing sneak-thieves and nomadic scroungers.

"Magus". Act on your words, empty threats breed contempt. ;)

""Magus". Act on your words, empty threats breed contempt."

It was not a threat, but a prophecy.

In responce:

No, turning this into an SDF thread was FAR from my intent. Therefore, I shall end this conversation right now.

I was under the impression that the SM still had more than 2 members
When I said all nation fleet I meant some would create Blue or Red Chars to greif the other SM chars
I have no idea how the Russian Defense Force got dragged in, someone compared it to the SDF.

(news update)

After seeing Flea with another nickname (sadistic flea), we can now conclude that Flea has no further ties to the SM.
