Capture the Flag

- The game takes place in a 4 km x 4 km x 8 km playing field
- To join the game, simply enter the playing field
- The object is to pick up your enemy's (5cu) flag and return with it to your side
- The enemy's flag begins at the far end of the playing field at the center line (at the ice crystal plane); after this, the flag spawns at a random location within the enemy's territory
- If you cross the midway plane with the enemy's flag, your side scores a capture!
- If the enemy scores a capture while you are carrying the flag, you lose the flag and it respawns randomly
- If you are "tagged" (hit with weapons fire) in enemy territory, you are sent back to your side for a 10 second penalty timeout (dropping the flag if you are carrying it); being tagged in your home territory has no effect
- You may leave the playing field for up to 30 seconds
- The first side to score three captures wins the round and the next round immediately begins (players on the winning side receive 2 trophies each)
- A pair of progress bars mark how many captures remain in order to win the round for each side (counting down from 3)
- At the end of half an hour, CTF trophies may be turned in to the event coordinator for 250k credits each
- You may spectate from the sidelines if you wish
