VaultRaid is an objective-based event, somewhat like a king-of-the-hill in design. There is a disabled transport that serves as the center of the objective (which can have a variable sized influence range), and your job is to "hack" the data off of the cargo it is carrying (referred to as the vault) by being within that valid range.
Planned Prizes (specifically for the FIRST, these will not be normal!!!):
10mil pot for the first winner
10mil shared pot for all other winners
If the first winner ALSO has the most amount of kills, I will add a premium key to their prize! Just remember, if you collect the entire vault, your kills stop being recorded, so it is up to you to delay both yourself AND everyone else, or someone might pass your kill count!
Suggestions for the event should be posted here
VaultRaid is a free-for-all objective capture where pilots must 'hack' into a disabled transport. Pilots compete to be the first to completely capture the objective, although multiple winners can occur. All ships, loadouts, and even NPC squadrons are allowed, although pilots cannot receive progress while in capital ships, and NPCs cannot capture objective points. To attend, pilots must merely show up while the event is running, although showing up late may prevent such a pilot from being able to capture the objective. Pilots wishing to know more should visit the forums or discuss on the official game discord.
The Defender role will be available to pilots on a first-come first-serve basis (limit 4). Instructions on how to register as a defender are available on the forums; registry will be open for an hour before the event begins.
This event occurs in greyspace; any pilot who wishes to attend must understand that there may be unrelated dangers in trying to attend. Role registration will be disabled at this time.

Pilots can sign up as Defenders this time; pilots who are registered as defenders are taking on a job to protect the vault data and destroy the other raiders. Your job is to destroy all raiders; you will recieve a number of credits for registering and participating, a small credit reward per kill, and a large reward if no raider is capable of downloading the entire vault of data.
To Register as a defender, during the "announcement" phase (from an hour before the event begins to about ten minutes before its start), send a message to the event host containing "register defender". You will be messaged further details if you were accepted, or will be told if there are no available defender slots open. The number of slots available depend on the event, but can be anywhere from only one up to six.

what if a defender sold warranties to others?
I would prefer if you kept some space between the role of a defender and your usual job, but I can't really stop you either...
The defenders are "hired by the company trying to protect their assets," so don't expect to be paid or "hired" in the future (allowed to register as defender) if your behaviour becomes problematic. after all, who would hire a pilot known for not doing the job he took? if you can find a balance, though, sure, do what you like. if you don't think you can, then, well, there are limited defender slots. leave that slot open for someone else.

Any recording of this? :)
I was recording, but I only got two hours of me fixing bugs before I just turned my PC off. It looked like the others were having fun (i hope), but I had to just... yeah.
