VO lore theories and extrapolations
VO has a great backstory and I love reading it all the time. Just been chatting about the current lore and here might be some good food for thought.
So what if the Serco pacified the hive? We know they do have robotic knowledge and tech with their cybernetic implants they used Guises in the first war to drive the Itani from Sol. It could be possible they might pacify the hive or even control it to their will. It would throw off the entire balance of power one could even reasonably think they might just conquer Itani and UIT. The Itani could do it also but I would think the Sercos would crack it first then the Itani's develop countermeasures. It depends on how swifty the Serco act.
What if Akan came back with a highly advanced fleet? We don't know what happened to his followers after they split from Itani space they could have founded their empire that way more powerful then all 3 nations combined! The Itani have such valuable tech that could be refined to something generations ahead of what the Sercos can even think of. (Classic case of brains vs brawn) We just don't know how the followers of Akan are fairing to this day.
Which Nations are exploring? In my view we know the UIT are conducting exploration since of the discovery of the unknown system. I would think the Itani would be exploring also since it's really their nature. As for the serco I really don't know if they are. No values/lore point to it. All it seems is they are bent on conquering the Itani. Might be critical if any major discovery is found by Itani or UIT.
I personally think the UIT senate could take a side in the conflict if their ethics shifts of just seeing all the strife of the universe. We could infer they still remember how badly the Serco treated them all it takes is one thread to fall loose to send UIT on a conflict with its ethics and which nation to ally with.
What if the hive become an even bigger threat? Would the 3 nations unite to destroy the hive?

The Serco again report civilian bombardment to the UIT and Itani via diplomatic channels. When both groups respond, once again requesting more data on the incursion, the Serco suddenly clam up and break off discussion. Some suggest that new information may have become available to the Serco, mid-negotiation. Who are these people bombing the Serco?
We know Akan bombed them the first time in AD 4390 What are the Serco hideing? Hive? A nation we don't know about?
How dependent are the economies of Itan and Serco on UIT trade? I think my self the Serco economy might be too militarized and would implode w/o the UIT's commodities none the less XI alloy which builds their Prometheus fighter. In turn with the Itani they fare better w/o Xi alloys since their ships are lightweight but would also preform worse w/o the XI alloy.
Anyways Thanks for reading I just typed this up quick and may add more theories when I have free time. Mind the grammar/spelling errors feel free to add and correct me on how you think the VO would might progress.
