Vet Week Championship Race
Welcome to the Vet week championship race thread. Dec 29th at 23:00 . Racers need to tell me what works best for them. I will try to accommodate as many racers as possible.
The race style will be an out and back.
If you have not qualified yet, there will be six more moth races before the big race. If the top two finishers in a moth race are already qualified, the next finishers will get the slot.
Currently qualified (in alphabetical order):

Racers with a '+' next their name have been officially notified that they are qualified for this race. Players with a '~' next to their name have been contacted by third party.
No fees to enter, you just need to be qualified.
Prizes:
1) EHA
2) IBA
3) RBH
Top aggressor : 100 LENBs (aggressors competing for this must be in a group with a race official)
Top finisher who passes through the Deneb checkpoint at least once will also get an RBH and a rare levi drop no matter where they finish overall.
Rest of the rules will be posted later.

Starting line will be an empty sector in Ukari
Racers must pass through predefined check point sectors.
Check points
1) Odia B16/ Deneb O3
2) Edras G-11
3) Odia B16/ Deneb O3
Finish line is Helios B-14
Racers do NOT need to dock to finish.
Any route is allowed, but on the way to Edras racers must pass through either the Odia/Deneb check points. On the way from Edras to to Helios racers must again pass through the Odia/Deneb check points. All racers must also pass through the Edras G-11 checkpoint.

The Championship race! Dec 29th at 23:00. Racers must be qualified by being a top two finisher in a moth race. If you are not qualified to race, you may still participate as an aggressor. Prizes will given out to top racers and the top aggressor.
Rules:
1) This is an open ship race. However, all ships must use free power cells.
2) No Fees to enter. Racers must be qualified. All qualified racers have been notified by Knauf.
3) There are checkpoints pairs. Checkpoints pairs must be passed through in the correct order. This means racers have a choice of which checkpoint to go through in each pair.
Starting line is: Empty sector in Ukari.
Checkpoint #1 is: Odia B-16/ Deneb O-3
Checkpoint #2 is: Edras G-11
Checkpoint #3 is: Odia B-16/ Deneb O-3
Finish Line is: Helios B-14
Racers do NOT need to dock to finish.

4) Racers must be homed in Latos

7) Racers must be in a group with a race official
8) Aggressors competing for the prize must be in group with a race official
9) Aggressors and racers must be in separate groups
10) Racers may die unlimited times
11) Racers taking longer than 60 minutes are disqualified(DNF).
12) Racers must race on the character they qualified with to be eligible for a prize.
13) Anything not prohibited by these rules is permitted.

So, I was planning to host a CSR that weekend; if I host mine at the usual time of my events, will that be stepping on your toes or nah? I can reschedule.
You normally host your events on Saturdays, I normally host mine on Sundays. If that holds, there will not be any toe stomping.
Ah I see... so this is not geared towards attracting vets using the free week then. Sad!

I have been running the qualifying moth races since 2018, including Vet week of 2018. If returning vets wish to race, they may attend Luxen's race. Or they may be aggressors and battle for the aggressor prize. Or even better, they can sub in now and join in some moth races!
If you wish to do an event to draw back old vets, do it!
