Where the hell are you guys? Every time I log on it's newbs everywhere. Nary a decent fighter among them. Sure our newbies have plenty of enthusiasm and a will to fight, but they can't when they get gangraped everywhere they go. Outnumbered and outgunned, it's looking bleak.
well magus.....its ok im still here just red atm.

bork! bork! bork!
Sorry, I've been sucked into 1940's Europe....in fact, I don't know how I am posting on something that shouldn't be invented for 50 years. But once I win World War 2 as Sweden, I'll be back playing...
What? Ikea strikes back? :P
Viking, you need serious professional help!
What game are you playing anyway? BattleField 1942? Road to Rome? Secret Weaps?
If not, you shoudl try them, that or C&C (kind of COld War era though, Nuke standoffs, Soveit Russia...)
B1
PS: BattleField Vietnam under construction! Yay!

im pretty sure that zeal knows busmaster. tis' funny that zeal is still zeal though for the serco, tis' int it?
i dont know if i count as a gold vet, i am a vet, (not really old vet, but i am a vet) but i only joined gold this version so yes... im just not on as much anymore, parents passworded my pc and i can only get on every other night (if that even)
if it helps any: i havent seen Lin for about 3-4 weeks, but i know she is on right now... and she gets off late for where she lives

yes, zeal knows BusMaster...
on account of seeing Lin:
i have seen her twice this week, at "normal" times for my zone.
and about BusMaster: it's a shame he can't play anymore, i never really thanked him for his superb method of intersectorial navigation (to s18)

Some of us 2.x vets only come on now and then because we are major targets.
I've been playing for quite some time now and trading just so I have a nice ship to chat in for a few hours just isn't that fun anymore. Even the Atlas gets a little spendy when Project CyJack sends 500 Centurions after you for no good reason (kill everything that moves might be role playing but its not very creative role playing, come on...but thanks for the PK's)
My routine is to log on during low population hours, trade up to about 500k and then play around for a few days or less till I'm bankrupt and pissed off. Then I log off for a few days or weeks till I've calmed down enough to enjoy the test and repeat the fun. This helps me do things like not hate Phoenix (not always easy but he's an OK guy down inside I just know it).
Anyway, I think that many vets in general are waiting for a little more to do, maybe missions? It's just not that fun to be "griefed" by noobs with vendetta's or chips on there shoulders or whatever. For the vets there's not much reward in the game. I've even seen Phoenix worn down and dejected from repeated non-skilled attacks (I think he had the flu at the time but still).
For the record I have ALWAYS been a trader/flag capper/and protector of the neutral territories, I'm a little tired of the kill all just becausers, but as you all know that's neither here nor there. My point to this paragraph is: if your killing me you better be a pirate or at war with gold because I didn't do anything to you no matter what your rabble rousing teamates said. You hear this DS guild?

yea busmaster was a good guy, he gave me i think $5mil hehe..
Rest assured Hoax that the offending Defense Ships have been scolded and duly punished. One of them is, in fact, no longer a DS. (DS10.) His own choice, but probably best.
Some of our newer members have yet to be schooled in the finer points of being a DS and I suspect are not certain about the purpose of the guild. The leaders have all been rather busy (I think it's more of the vet malaise going around.) Once I get a hefty chuck of free time I hope to sit them down and train them. Until then, please report any complaints you have about DS members to the DS forums at http://www.defenseships.uni.cc/
Thanks, and sorry for the trouble. If you want to be reimbursed I will pay for it out of pocket next time I see you.
