Pirates won today; Flying Baxter got all the way to the Verasi before succumbing to a random TU mine left in an ion storm. Press F for respect

The Voluptuous Night-Sky and Megedagik both were the only pirates to get recorded kills but cleaned up all the racers by the 15 minute mark. Good Game!

On a related note: how did the video project for this go? Someone shot the cameraman early on: was there not enough footage to produce coverage?

I've not got a lot of time these days; i've got hours of footage awaiting editing actually, and as I find time i'm "working backwards" through it all. I.e. i'm working on this now, but its not done yet. Sorry.

Yes, of the actual race there isnt a lot of footage, so it'll be fairly simplified as an overview of the race itself, but dying wont stop me [though it certainly was inoppurtune]

Editing can be very time intensive; don't rush, and I'll look forward to seeing it! :-)

This sounds like great fun, unfortunately at 2am most people in Europe tend to be asleep - how about a more Europe friendly time for the next one ? Maybe on a Saturday or Sunday at 7pm EET / 5pm GMT / 12pm EST / 9am PST ? That would be good for everybody except the far east (China and Japan).

SlashGorden, I WANT to host so everyone can join in, US and Europe and even those few Asia and Australia people we get. The reality is I don't have much ANY free time though, and its only sheer luck I can even squeeze my few events in.

In other news, the video will be available on my channel this saturday. Its much more of an updates on how the next event [likely during the winter holidays or after] will be different, but I still hope you take a gander at it in the meantime.

I think it will become available at This link on saturday, at ~some time~. If it doesn't, then Here is a link to my channel
