NATION WAR #458
[TRI] would like to announce NATION WAR #458 taking place Sunday, January 7 at 10:00PM CT (Monday, January 8 at 4:00 GMT). It will be located in Sedina. We will have 3 rounds, so remember to prepare your ships ahead of time. The prize this week will be 15 million credits.
Moving forward, there will no longer be a grey team for Nation War. Our decision to include it was based upon the idea of balancing the teams out. This felt necessary because these types of group-meet-up battles were so few and far between, and most pilots don't have fun when the sides are uneven. We now have plenty of other events to accomplish the goal of providing a balanced group combat experience. This way is basically just much easier to manage and understand. And for those that feel like they just can't participate because it would feel like they are supporting a nation that they really do not, there will be plenty more group combat events to join so don't feel left out. I'd still encourage you all to participate as I don't see anyone holding your participation against you.
Basic Rules:
-Pilots will split into 3 teams according to their nation
-Only those who are on-time are allowed to participate (very bendable)
-There will be 3 rounds
-You may not start fighting until the host signals the start of the battle - this includes the 15ish minute period prior to the planned starting time
-At the start of each round, pilots will be told the sector for the next round. After being taken out report to next sector in a combat ready ship
-No running from the battle arena
-The last team standing wins
-Prize is only distributed to those on the winning team who survive and will be handed out after each round. Prize pot will be divided into 3 parts for each round, then each part will be divided between the survivors of the winning team.
-Have fun!
As for the 3-round setup we have this week, any feedback on this is welcomed. This is still a new way of doing it, and I'm sure there's something we may have overlooked. If you have any ideas for how to make this run smoother feel free to toss em out.

I like the multiple rounds idea. If teams are super unfair we might see some ppl switching alts to balance things out. Plus, I always thought NW was too short!
