Ahoy friends and frenemies of the VO universe!
This thread serves as notice that I will be conducting mining operations at regular and irregular intervals at Latos M7. SWA has opened a shop bot there I affectionately call Swampmeet and in protest to their regular targeting and tanking of newbie UIT pilots in my home nation, I hope to limit their revenue stream. Ironically, mining the station at Latos M7 is a favorite tactic of SWA pilot Knauf. Unlike SWA, I'm giving fair warning. My apologies to any disruption to manufacturing or harm to assets, but you know, VO happens!

Aww someone else is jealous he doesn't have shop code. maybe you should join TGFT Hornblower. Then you guys can all cry together.
Falsely ascribing motives to the actions of others? [Deleted] But that's okay, the verse needs gorram Reavers; I suppose.
To respond to yer ill-founded accusations regarding my motives: Horatio Hornblower is not a trader. Was never suited to the role of trader. No sir, he's a champion. In this instance, a champion for his nation, the Union of Independent Terroritories, against the farming of newbie UIT pilots by SWA in the capitol system. [Deleted].

This is RP. Please keep RL politics out of here. Thanks.
In the interests of ascribing to the timeless principle of Freedom of the Seas, I will maintain overwatch during said blockades and provide access to those whose business at M7 does not include commerce with the SWA merchant. Any abuse of this access to make purchases from Swampmeet will result in permanent loss of access for that individual and temporary loss of access for all associated guildmembers. Any attempt to break the blockade will result in permanent loss of access for that individual and up to permanent loss of access for that associated guild.

I buy from swapmeet on a regular basis. The prices are fair and it often has what I need. If I were a newb, it's a relatively safe spot to jump into because of the fog. A newb can do the transaction from behind a roid, zip out and often snatch the object on the way to the dock. And more addons can be equipped here than at Edras G-11.
Swapmeet also seems to segment things in sublists, so I can list all the "hive" weapons or "neuts" or "turret" weapons without listing the entire thing.
And the word is Drazed likes Swapmeet. When I heard that, I knew I could trust it.

This thread is not purposed to discuss the merits of Swampmeet. It serves as notice as to intent, actions, grievances, and remedies. But as I have drawn yer attention, FAMY pilot Koshor saw fit to attack blockade and has demonstrated his, and FAMYs tacit support for the indiscriminate targeting of newb UIT pilot in the capitol system of Dau.

There are two types of players:
1. Those with warranties.
2. Those without warranties.
FAMY, much like swapmeet, provides a beneficial non-discriminatory service to the entire known universe. Go champion on someone else's doorstep.

[Edit] ps. Calling Wash a reaver is way offensive to his RP, for shame H.H.

Hello H of the Hornblower clan,
Mine away.
-Knauf
To everyone else Suggestion: if you trying to buy from SWAPMEET and there a lot of mines, just buy some cheap items (I might place some items just for this task) and let the ec89 explode next to the mines. This will cause the mines to blow up.
You know, last week someone paid my shopbot over and over just to kill it over and over. I guess that could have been considered farming Pks, but whatever. SWAPMEET doesn’t judge. SWAPMEET is for all. Whether you are a new player or a salty vet, SWAPMEET will sell to you. Everyone is welcome. And all items purchased at SWAPMEET can be equipped right away.
I try to keep most my prices reasonable, though I have been increasing prices a bit on stuff that has been selling out way to fast. I’m looking into some kind of auto discount for my frequent buyers. Isn’t free trade great?
Happy sales!

Hello Knauf, esteemed pilot of SWA. There is a simple resolution that will satisfy my concerns: end the practice of non-consensual pvp against UIT pilots level four and under in the capital sector of Dau L10. Clearly we can agree that there should be at least in place in this verse where the newest players among us can be safe from attack by SWA. Or the blockade of your market during peak hours will continue, shouldering your customers with the burden of clearing 80-240 l-mines. It's really a sight to see; like Christmas almost.
Hell H of the Hornblower clan,
You misunderstand me. I'm fine with you mining the station. Does not bother me at all. Only people who are mad are the noobs you keep killing with the mines. The same noobs you have sworn to protect. My profits have actually gone up since you started your campaign. Thanks for the free advertising.
Happy mining,
Knauf
ps each player can lay a max of 100 mines per sector.

lol i saw WWB farming the shop bot a few days ago.
Newbs in grey are fair game. Newbs in the capitol sector, not so much. Honestly, it's like whenever I try to communicate with you and those who share yer RP model it's like talking to a brick wall. Fine by me. I got a good number of PKs just by doing nothing. Some veterans too.
H.Hornblower.
For the admitted act of piracy against new pilots (or any for that matter) at the M-7 Shipyards, it is my pleasure to inform you that you are now indebted to FAMY in the amount of a 1 million credit Franchise Fee for each day of piracy. Please remit your payment to any FAMY warranty sales and service representative you see at once.

Well, piracy has quite a wide definition, and you may be surprised that some places even class piracy as any kind of terrorism against ships, so yes, we know what it means.
the practice of attacking and robbing ships at sea.
rob or plunder (a ship). (basically what you are doing)
a person who appropriates or reproduces the work of another for profit without permission, usually in contravention of patent or copyright. (and again, you sir, are nothing but a copycat, go back to TGFT you clown)
I'm pretty sure a merchant laying mines at sea to blow up a specific target, which killed innocent by-sailers would be classed as an act of piracy. That is all you are, a merchant who is using terror to further his own agenda; you have no authority to be mining stations and killing newbs. 2 wrongs do not make a right, and Swampmeet isnt doing wrong in the first place.
Welcome to the piracy side, it was only a matter of time.
