Luxen's POV and whats going on
Niki's POV
Barktooth's POV
So, in case you didnt watch the whole of my video, ill recap here. sorry, I was a little premature in posting that other thread. no, I wont be hosting TeamDX for a while, but I wont give up hosting forever - the event itself is fun, and it wouldnt be fair to those of you who do show up and enjoy yourselves. I will be taking a lengthy time off though, somewhat to rebalance my psyche for VO, somewhat to work on other things that are less likely to make me explode.
It boils down to "Hosting is more trouble than it became worth". It may surprise you, but I come under a bit of heat for hosting my events, and that night it just sort of finally got to me. Anywho, sorry for the drama, and thanks for sticking with me.

You were doing a great job Luxen, understandable the herding of cats getting to anyone. Let me know when you are ready to start hosting again. A co-host can make a big difference, and DX was enjoyable enough that I would be happy to help in the future. Cheers.

I sure would like to be able to participate in one of these, if the hosting ever got started back up ;)
screw it IM GONNA HOST TDX. VOTE LOCATION NOW.
Starting this Saturday and every 2 weeks as always.
Sorry, clank, but you just don't have the reputation and status that Luxen has. I'd be willing to commit FAMY funds toward the prize for Luxen or someone equally trustworthy, but we're not willing to back a clank-run event. At least not until you show the same seriousness, dedication, and discipline Luxen does.
cross posting SkinWalker's statement from another thread
I think running it in Sedina was the only real mistake you made. Your events aren't Nation War. And that's a good thing. You encouraged and made it possible for newbs to join in the fun.
The time of Nation War has come and gone. Nation War was mostly experienced players --or at least those that had a few months of play under their belts and could get from point A to point B in Greyspace in spite of pirates. And most of the pirates joined Nation War anyway (especially when there was a Grey team).
But your events are somewhat different. I think you should continue if you can find it in you. You're a stand up dude and trustworthy by most folks in the game.
And I might have a suggestion to make it work:
Run the event(s) in an empty sector of Ukari. There's a relatively safe station to home in and three worm holes to access it from. The Serco newbs will have an advantage in being able to drop in from Initrios, but I think the UIT station at L-2 is a good enough reason to encourage Itani to pass through UIT space and home there.
If memory serves, there are even a couple of roid sectors with no bots, but it's been a long time since I came across them and I could be wrong. But maybe a dev could fix that if not.

So, ive found a few empty asteroid sectors, sure, but Ukari... it doesnt look the greatest. The thing I loved about Sedina was the varied locations available there. sure, 1 was covered in a teal fog, and the race tubes tend to slow things down, but it shows something different, even if it wasnt too relevant to the gameplay itself. The nearby planets also didnt look too bland and were decently sized depending on your selected location. That was why I chose sedina, aside from it allready being a de-facto pvp capitol.
If I host elsewhere, to keep things varied i'll want to host at different systems each event, to prevent a blandness (which was allready creeping in during the last set of events). that being said, only Sedina, Latos, and Ukari are valid. all the other greyspace systems havent enough local station selection that I could expect new pilots to have good selection with. MAYBE odia. at the same time, if I tried hosting inside UIT space, that would drive off older pilots, and prevent UIT-kos pilots from participating.
Latos works, with the test sector and many sometimes-empty asteroid feilds. but at the same time, Latos sees heavy piracy thanks to being a manufacturing hub, which in turn causes issues for newer pilots, just like with Sedina.
Finally, its greyspace, and my events arent monitered. there literally is nothing stopping you guys from trashing the event itself (remember TeamDX9?)
I've been trying to think about this stuff, and I am at an impass.

Of course there is something that could stop.
DEV-INE INTERVENTION
...maybe even a guide could help you out
DEV-INE INTERVENTION

I have the option to ask for a guide, and have historically ignored it; i'd much rather whistler or phaserlight join in the event, instead of being forced to just watch it. It can drag on, after all, and I dunno if the existing guides are able to devote so much time to watching an event when nothing may happen. I dunno; im not entirely sure i want that...
Another well-intentioned, community-minded player finds himself at an impasse in VO? Imagine my incredible surprise.
