Nevermind. I've been informed EDIT is a Westacular creation. So it's back to the old days where one person with a credit card monopolizes VO according to his interests. Perhaps it's time for another break. 150 million credits for access to M7? Just so you can blast us as we undock? GTF outta here. Life's too short.
Dearest Noe Body,
Information in VO is about as accurate as FOX news reporting. Believe what you want to believe to justify your crying. We are pirates, we will charge for whatever we feel we can make money on. If you do not like being pirated sit in a station and talk in 100 like everyone else who likes to complain that they can't go every where freely. Saddest dais.

EDIT thinks this is about the practice of piracy! So funnies. Of course liars and cheats never think they're liars and cheats. Maybe it's all that jumping back and forth between alts, milking the cow at both ends!
1. You may not defraud other players. Fraud is defined as falsely representing one's intentions to make a gain at another's expense. Examples of this activity include, but are not limited to, using deception to deprive another player of items, slandering another player or impersonating them with the intention of causing harm to that player's reputation, or falsely representing one's identity in order to gain access to another player's account or account information. Fraud in all transactions between players may result in disciplinary action when confirmed by a Guide.

If you feel you have been defrauded please file a support ticket. Saddest dais.
Didn't think to copy the error logs. But have no worries. I'm making an alt right now to run your lines with some juicy cargo. Will pay my fees, then when CLM, SWA, ONE, or FAMY pew me and another swoops in to pick up the loot I'll have you dead to rights. And save your pathetic denials. The devs know who is who and will sort it out. Just like they did when your SWA turrets were tanking noobs in UIT. Sadist days.
Excellent! We look forward to collecting your fees, Rejoice!
"Didn't think to copy the error logs."
You don't actually need the error logs. The server keeps its own authoritative logs, and those are the ones the devs actually rely on when making decisions (player submitted logs could be doctored). Submitting your own logs can save them time (makes it easier to find the relevant portion of the server logs) but is not strictly necessary. Just FYI. Obviously in this instance, it's not a big deal to just wait and get new logs to lessen the devs' burden.
Although, keep in mind that regardless of what you think the rules say, I'm pretty sure that the rules about defrauding pertain to player-level actions, not character-level actions. Just like how I'm not violating the rule about harassing people if I pirate someone, or even if I repeatedly kill particular people for whatever reason. That's just part of the game. I'm pretty sure that characters scamming each other is just part of the game. Where things become problematic is when things start happening at the player level -- creating characters with similar names, hi-jinks with plugins, out-of-game transactions, etc.
Perhaps using alts to violate agreements counts, but I doubt it. That feels like a stretch to me since it's not functionally different from simply PMing another player's character with the information. If it's okay for Bob's character SpaceJoe to ask Alice's character OdiaidO to kill somebody, it should be okay for SpaceJoe to ask Bob's other character Beodawg to do it.
(That said, I do think that using alts in this way is pretty lame. If people actually do it. Multiple independent pirates do exist. For many of us, the same personality traits that lead to us becoming pirates also lead to us refusing to join the popular pirate guild of the month.)

People use alts for all kinds of nefarious reasons. Just saying that you think its "pretty lame" to do so does nothing productive for the game.
Well, at least this conversation is living up to the "not funny" part of the thread title
You are correct, Ore. Voicing an opinion is not a very productive thing to do. So?
If you have a concern about an individual or group violating GSW rules, please open a ticket. Posting about it on the forums is in itself a violation of GSW rules.

*Tipper The Dog* Have you seen my dog biscuits? I think you have them in your cargohold! Die!
The pseudo-nationalists ONE at work engaging in piracy against an unguilded UIT with 600 Serco Standing.

Tipper hasn't been on in two weeks. Try again.
It's actually from several weeks ago. Delayed to protect the identity of the source. But you know the truth of this hail.
pfft.. all roles are borked, pissed on and usurped. Don't expect ONE or any of its allies to uphold broken role-play, even if you think its "kinda lame". Everyone is doing it.
Whats up No Body? Who's identity are you protecting? I think you must be the *yellow* bellied coward whose identity you seek to protect. So, Are you still hiding my dog biscuits?
I haven't been on in about 2 weeks...
I think the real truth is... that you miss me.

there's only one rule in vo, shoot 'em before they shoot ya. (At least if ye die, ye know why)
Don't get mad bruh. There's no shame in being a pirate. The VO community cares about you and accepts that you're not a nationalist. We hate to see you and your mates living in denial.
[100] <Kaizoku> OH look, "Dirty 'oRe" logged back onto his VPN
I don't pirate anyone. Shoot to kill yes, but there is no embezzlement or theft per se.
