I can't help but notice that newb package seems to be particularly low on mining equipment, such as HD beams or an advanced mineral scanner.

Considering ROCK advertizes as a mining guild, you might want to upgrade that kit a little?

Scanners and beams are given to members. We do hold mining classes where beams are given out though.

Yep. I did not know about the mining classes, but I have stocked a few newb-kits at Dau L-11. I will give it to noobs I see!
