Yeah it's a silly comparison. Funnily enough, I do not find it offensive. Rather I imagine in a few hundred years there will be reenactors around the world donning black uniforms and prancing around playing at one side or the other of this modern conflict. Reenacting battles and drone strikes. Alternative histories will be written where the world became an entirely different place. Hundreds of millions if not billions of dollars will be made from movies, novels, history books as well as collectables, toys and t-shirts.

That said, Snake's title is pretty stupid. The Serco are pretty spectacularly different from ISIS. The closest canon group would actually be the Order of Akan -- they've got the spiritual bullshit from the modern Itani, plus the bigoted fighting spirit from the old Itani, and they've been known to bomb Serco orphanages.

I dunno, the Serco seem pretty extremist to me, what with the whole crazy military death cult.

I dunno Snake, I personally think Tunguska is a much better fit. Excessively high archaic 'moral' standards, precious little to offer in exchange for conformity to their rigid and outdated rules.... I find the Serco to be more commercial and resource driven once you get past their protectionist front.

Keep in mind that no matter how horrible you think ISIS is, cancer is worse. So far this year, cancer has killed 545,114 people in the USA alone. I don't know anybody in person who has been harmed by terrorists, but I know plenty who've had or even died of cancer, including neighbors and family members. Yet you won't see me flipping my lid if somebody compares Corvus to cancer. Man up.
