And here is bojan using an old 20th Century Earth Terrestrial Vehicle
Exactly. Some of the game adapted comics like the pyramid are hilarious and probably the main reason I periodically check the rp forum.
I just play to relax these days and don't worry overmuch about the politics or drama. At any rate, this war seems to have revived this RP forum from near death and adds some needed animosity to VO, without which I daresay there wouldn't be anything meaningful conflict going on.

Lisa was pretty good with our negotiations, she basically brokered terms of the negotiation between RED and TGFT back when we had our rounds. Although RED and SKV are and were very different guilds, they are exact opposites on the spectrum as far as TGFT is concerned.
The distinguishing thing between RED's and SKV's negotiations with TGFT is that our terms centred around rules of engagement for peace, station access and recognition of neutrals within TGFT. We wouldn't recognise any TGFT as neutral unless they had neutral or worse Itani standing. From what I've read your negotiations are focused on war reparations for grievances and changes in transparency from leadership.
In both cases TGFT has reacted the same way, we gave enormous ground in our negotiations in many circumstances with the only purpose being to see if TGFT would give any ground whatsoever. They gave none, no minor concessions or any concessions of any nature whatsoever. So while they called them 'negotiations' they were essentially TGFT dragging you into their forums (where they would log your IP address for alt identification purposes) so they could reiterate that you either let them do what they want, or there are no diplomatic relations between your guilds.
Nothing's changed. The TGFT leadership never makes any concessions whatsoever in 'negotiations' with any guild. If you attempt to get them to move on any points they simply tell you that you're 'impinging on their right to free trade'. Which is a right they invented for themselves which has no boundaries and is interpreted exclusively by them.
It's become clear that the actual game needs to change in order for negotiations to have meaningful effect. Limited supply means that you can hit them where it hurts. Their trading platform won't mean a damn thing if people are boycotting the trading opportunities and hurting them economically which is exactly what's going to happen as soon as supply limits kick in globally.
In summary, let the good times roll!

Scout Report: SKV on TGFT Aggression
Foreword:
When we assumed the Soldier, we did not lay aside the Citizen; and we shall most sincerely rejoice with you in the happy hour when the establishment of American Liberty, upon the most firm and solid foundations shall enable us to return to our Private Stations in the bosom of a free, peacefully and happy Country.

Voices from the echo chamber focused against The Guild of Free Traders would lead the uniformed to believe that TGFT are the aggressors and initiated the current hostilities. In truth, SKV conducted a black flag operation and used the justified response of TGFT as pseudo validation for the current conflict. A black flag operation being similar to a pirate firing a repair module at a target in nation space; the hope being the target will mistake this action as a weapon and mistakenly initiate hostilities. The the purpose being evasion of nation/faction standing loss.
The Guild of Free Traders does not engage in combat action with any pilot unless hostile intent has been demonstrated. This is determined by the actions of pilot, known history of the pilot, guild association, and the location of contact. We attempt to limit hostilities directly to the offending pilots and areas of importance to free trade.
Nothing would please us more than to peaceably engage in the delivery of goods to market and advancing our capabilities to perform that function. We are a guild of traders, not given to continued combat action. True, some of are pilots excel in that capacity and routinely engage in combat action. We are grateful to have them in our ranks as the universe can be a dangerous place. Yet even these souls possessed by a martial spirit abide by the civil and sensible rules of engagement in order to limit hostilities and promote free trade.
To that end I express my regrets to any hindrance of free trade our assaults on the three stations might produce to our neighbors in the universe. Understand that TGFT will not bow to the naked aggression of SKV by denying us access to them. We understand you are unable to come to our aid due to the threat of likewise being denied access by SKV.
Some however are complicit in providing aid & comfort to our enemy. Such actions do not go unnoticed and will not go unanswered. I suspect that Family Galactic Travel(FAMY) is not simply defending access to the three stations, but rather is under contract by SKV. Furthermore, I suspect Estrian Prosis(ITAN) is the financier of this contract with a reported 40 billion credits in reserve.
At the end of the day none of these suspicions matter. The conflict is still at a stalemate with SKV unable to achieve their promised total destruction and TGFT facing an enemy with the belligerence of a religious zealot. Rest assured however, we will not go quietly into the night. Our guild has faced similar challenges and yet we still traffic this universe.

Let me summarize Blowers post for quicker and easier reading:
Blablabla, everyone lies except us, blablabla. Blablabla free trade, blablabla.
Blablabla, we die at SKV stations, sorry for littering them with our corpses, blablabla.
Blablabla FAMY kills us too, blablabla, it's a conspiracy, blablabla. We hate EP, blablabla.
Blablablbla, everyone who kills us is a religious zealot , blablabla.
Blablabla, neener-neener SKV can't destroy us if we sit in stations, blablabla.
Rest assured we will always blablabla.
Blablabla, we still get out of stations when nobody is around, blablabla.
k, thx, bai

Sure about that?
Sure about that?
I can't say who is winning or losing since the conditions for victory/defeat are not clear to me, I just know that except for a few TGFT bombing stations while I'm visiting them, I don't see them hardly at all anymore.
Honestly, I see myself as the winner. No more conq stations means no more compulsion to grind out more trident parts that I don't need having already built 2 dents and the equivalent of a third. I'm also growing my credits again instead of being on the verge of broke. Plus I have time to pvp again. Oh and I don't need to haul crap for other people anymore. It's a win all around for me! But I've always been a self centered sob I guess ;)
Dear Hornblower and whatever your alt is called
When someone takes your shite and you try constantly to reclaim said shite that isn't a stalemate, mate
You're losing a pointless war while recruiting new players who get butchered because they don't know what they are getting into. Why not settle this pointless war with beer pong or some such shite because TGFT does not have anough players to hold stations even if they manage to take them.

Gasp! This guy speaks unprecedented truth and wisdom!
Yes, TGFT has lost all of its usual friends who used to defend them and help them hold stations. No longer will people join TGFT to build tridents. No longer do android users feel safe and secure with the TGFT tag. Facing such suffocating restrictions and unable to successfully recruit new players, inevitably TGFT is a guild that will drift into disarray and dissolution. All because of morally bankrupt top brass.
What a tragedy!

I don't give a fuck
I don't give a fuck
1) People still build tridents?
2) Android (/mobile) users feel safe anywhere?
Like RED and FAMY before them, the tyranny of the itani nationalists will end at some point and TGFT will continue it's business like always.

FAMY ended.
Shit. Now you tell me.
"Hey, guys! Yeah, you seven FAMY pirates... you can all go home. Greenwall said we ended."
*waits*
Nope. They said they ain't going, kid.

FAMY's tyranny ended. Next time ask your mom to help you read.
They do have one thing correct:
When the conflict finally dies down, largely because there have been no TGFT for so long that people forget the conflict, Ecka, Seiger, tsreknor, Lisa and company will return and Ecka will say "Och feck buggers, ye tried to beat us but TGFT can't be beaten" and we'll all laugh at them because they will conveniently ignore the fact that they have been completely absent from the game and they won the war by checking out and going on holiday.
As long as you have active members in a guild willing to keep the lights on by not leaving said guild, there is no real way to kill a guild. But TGFT in its current form is dead and they have lost.
They beat RED by being beaten into submission. They beat FAMY by being beaten into submission. They will redefine victory whenever they decide to return and claim dominance. But the players will remember that TGFT had to use nefarious plugins to capture data. Players will remember that they had to use combat bots to even attempt to take stations. Players will remember that they were completely and utterly absent from the game for the entire period they claimed victory.

@Savet AMEN!

FAMY's tyranny ended. Next time ask your mom to help you read.
LOL. I read just fine. Looking at the sentence structure, you have two clauses. "Tyranny" is a subject of the second clause. "RED and FAMY" are shared subjects of the first. In the manner you wrote it, it could also read, "The tyranny will end like RED and FAMY."
For the sentence to read the way you pretend it does when you reach for an ad hominem insult that attempts to invoke maternal guidance, you would have had to write it thus:
"Like the the tyranny of RED and FAMY before them, that of the Itani nationalists...."
or:
"Like that of RED and FAMY before them, the tyranny of the Itani nationalists..."
However, I rather like that the last bastion of TGFT behaves so poorly as it reflects on what has been said over, and over. TGFT are immoral and lack honor. Dirty plugins, cheater-bot station attacks, ad hominem attacks on elderly mothers of good, hard-working pirates... Please, continue making TGFT look good. There's no image problem here at all.

Savet:
TGFT is a trade guild, not a combat guild. As such we are not concerned with winning wars per se, or "claiming victory". And those who would wave their victory flag over their suppression of us have nothing to be proud of since we don't put up much of a fight overall.
TGFT didn't beat RED or FAMY. Both of those guilds were toned down for other reasons not related to TGFT whatsoever.
Honestly Savet, from you I would expect more accurate, non-revisionist accounts of VO history than what you are asserting. I guess you finally had a drink of the kool-aid? Perhaps there is money to be made by spinning the truth?
As for what players remember, we are not generally concerned with what false propaganda our enemies choose to imprint on their own memories. Our belief is actions speak louder than words ever will, which is partly why you see high level TGFT leaders staying out of conversations like these. It is also why our Utilities plugin was adjusted as requested, rendering it a non-issue long ago.

I found savets summary pretty accurate. Even if FAMY and RED didn't stick around for other reasons after the conflict, the submission of TGFT had already happened and they had essentially reverted to bombing each station with a different tsreknor alt once and then running away.
