Espionage/TRS continues to post in the vo forums as if he is of significance today. He isn't significant in game, he merely boasts that he was successful. He wasn't , he failed.

So it seems entirely sensible that his ingame failure is repeatedly pointed out so that any new players are not under the impression that he actually has any ingame significance.

Really , this is just to emphasise that Espionage/TRS is merely a forum troll, rather than an active player.

I agree with Dr. Lecter, Breazle's samoflange pricing is very reasonable.

That might be the case for vets, Joyless, but most vets already have a trident. I would imagine that Breazle's offer is geared more towards people who have yet to build one.

Most noobs who don't have a trident yet don't even have half the asking 10m amount. Hence the price is too high for the intended customers. Does he want to generously help people build tridents or just selfishly make money for himself? Not that it violates any RoCs, but it speaks volumes about his character.

I'm not sure why you think it's Breazle's social responsibility to adjust his samoflange pricing to levels that any newb flying out of a training sector could access. I'm mostly leaning towards "you are just trolling." But the part of me that doesn't think you are trolling thinks you are an idiot. Doing the mission tree to get the samoflange is a pain in the ass, and is most certainly worth 10 million credits to avoid.

Lol Greenie. You're always lamenting and whining about the lack of trident wars, or any action for that matter, from your silly, warped perspective.

Liberally giving out free samos, data aggregators, and capship parts to the active noob players would quickly bring more tridents to table, leading to trident wars actually happening and happening more often. Why wouldn't you want that, especially if you have an absurd amount of duplicates of the said items and parts? You want people to have more fun pvping arena-style, especially with tridents, right? Maybe you should consider giving up your stingy ways for the sake of potential fun down the road.

Um. Ten million is not a difficult amount to raise, even as a newbie. Keep in mind that before a newb can build a trident, they have to have access to the Behemoth XC or one of the miner-moths. Doesn't matter whether they get help from others who have that stuff; they need it themselves so that they can deliver the larger items to the station.

If a newb has played long enough to gain access to the XC, yet cannot raise 10M within a couple sessions, that newb simply is not going to succeed at building a trident, samo or no.

Joylessjoker, the game is called vendetta. Animosity is the objective of the exercise.

If I had one credit every time you brought up the "vendetta is the goal of VO" phrase, I'd be richer than all of your alts combined ecka.

I have to disagree with you a little bit Greenwall. The mission tree for samo is kinda fun, especially as a noob. And the final mission, Slay The Hydra, was actually a lot of fun, especially picking grouped up targets to get them to all explode at once because they are so closely grouped. In fact, I still haven't beat it for a 3rd and final time, as I like to get a huge group together and fire avs into them. 60+ kills on one shot looks really cool.

That said, Breazle can price his samo however the hell he wants. If it doesn't sell, then he'll either reduce the price to get rid of it, or just hang on to it to sell later. I have a thought that if/when the type P & S Tridents come out, it is not for sure that those who have the existing type M will be able to to switch over so easily. In that case, samo could become a hot commodity, seeing as there are very limited avenues of getting it.

In response to joylessjoker's call for cheap samo and aggys for noobs, know that there are people around who give away those items to players who are building tridents. In my case I make them prove that they deserve an aggy or samo by building another component or two to show they are serious and are not gonna quit VO after a week. Building costs so much time and credits that most of them never come back for the item, having done the samo mission or bought/scavenged an aggy for themselves.
