On a side note, Itan and a few of our friends spotted Spoon in Sedina B8. We made short work of the Serco. He just swarmed in a centaur and barely hit anything.

No. The guild did allow pirates to join it, but it was not a pirate guild. The guild itself did not engage in piracy. That was something that was up to the individual members to do or not do as they chose.
And before you try to say that it's the same thing, I'd like to point out that the sort of logic which calls CBSM pirates is the sort of logic which also calls ITAN miners. If somebody is considered a pirate just because they were in CBSM, then anybody who plays VO is automatically an atheist, a transsexual, a furry, and Scottish.

CBSM under mcay was massively carebear. They had NAP's with everybody to the extent that they were thoroughly useless and died.
