STORY: Archon's new body

Oct 01, 2003 Dagger link
After days of travel, Archon had finally reached his destination - a distant
sector known as Kai'Mahars. It was a technical mekka, where you could
buy all sorts of robots, ships and weapons. However, Archon was not
there to buy a ship, nor a robot… he was there to become one.

… he was there to meet Aen'chor, a man said to be the most skilled
technician ever lived. Archon had for long wanted to become
corporeal again, and saw an opportunity when hearing about this man.

After having docked, Archon headed directly for Aen'chor's quarters.
With him, he brought the 10 million credits agreed upon as payment.

"Glad to see you, sir Battol" Aen'chor smiled as Archon appeared in front of him.
"Thank you... but enough of the formalities. Get to work". Archon grinned.

Weeks later, Archon awoke from his hibernation. Over him stood Aen'chor,
appearing to make the final changes to his new body.
"How is it goin'?" Archon tried to sit up, but couldn't.
Aen'chor seemed delighted to see his creation speak for the first time.
"There are still a few things to be done, but you should be ready in a few hours…"
He grabbed a screwdriver and some laser tool and continued his work.
"Hm... my head hurts like hell," Archon murmured.
"Huh. Well. I don't know if that's 'normal', as I've never done this before, but don't worry. It'll pass." Aen'chor walked over to another desk to get a mirror.
"Now... what do you think?" he said, smiling broadly.
"That's some... damn nice work", Archon said, quite stunned at the skill of this man.
"You may stand up now", Aen'chor reached Archon his hand.
… for the first time in years, Archon could again feel the warmth of a human. It was indeed a fantastic feeling.

Archon stood up and walked over to a larger mirror, where he took a long, good look
at his new body. It was black and dark-grey, and made of the finest metal. Beautiful.
"Not only are you a fantastic technician, Aen'chor. You are also the greatest artist I have ever met".

Oh, and check out http://www.gamespy.com/avatars/av/RT/rt9.gif
for Archon's new head! Kinda cool, huh?

I'm working on making a LightWave model of the new Archon.
I'll publish it when it's ready.

Achem, dear ahdinh2, you seem to have made several mistakes in your post, please allow me to correct them.
First off: you did not capitalize the first letter of your post, which would normally be alright, but combined with the rest of your post ticks me off to no extent. Second off, there is no comma after the "dude", and there should be one.
Thirdly, your second you seems to be missing two letters, which is the second most irritating mistake you've made. I was gonna say that you should have had a comma before the "that" but I guess it's a matter of preference, but the post just doesn't ring without it.
Fourth irritating thingy: there is no period on the end.
And finally the most annoying one, and the one that made me even consider writing up this post, you are flaming.

Agreed, that was unnecessary. Please don't post unless you have something on-topic and useful (or at least supportive) to say. "Be Nice". If it continues, all off-topic posts will be deleted from this thread.

ahdinh2: you've got to realize there is a lot more stories than what you see on here. Stories about Vendetta that are way over 10 pages long. People put thier ideas, feelings, and just imagination of what Vendetta could be in the future(or real life like).

These people show some creativeness, and the people who can write really good stories have a skill that a lot of people lack and sometimes wish they had.

A story is to be enjoyed and read. Ripping on someone because they wrote a story about a game is just mean. You seriously didn't need to post your comment.
