ONE change of command

Mar 03, 2012 endercp12 link
On this day, March 3rd, I Seragyn, Commander of ONE, do formally turn the duties of command over to Star Buck.

Commanding ONE has been an honour, but I feel I am no longer able to live up to the responsibilities it entails. Life has moved on, and with it, the time i have to spend in the vendetta universe.

Star Buck has been with us since the very beginning. As former commander of SCAR, he helped to create our guild, and has dutifully served under every commander since. It's his time to shine and I, and the rest of the guild, have the utmost confidence in his abilities, as proven in our recent elections, in which he ran unopposed.

To the Serco nation:

This is not a goodbye, I'll still be here to thrash our enemies. You deserve leadership that can commit the formidable time and effort to lead you to victory. We are a proud people, and we will never stop our fight to end the genocidal tyranny of the Itani nation.

Seragyn; Commander (Ret.) ONE

Clearly, you've never seen Serco political debates prior to elections. See the Serco political arena is just that... an arena. Several candidates are selected by means of purely statistical data, of those (usually a group of five hundred to one thousand)... half are voted in as representatives in a nation wide one person one vote election. The elected are not informed, rather anywhere from one day to three weeks later... they are abducted by a group of fifty to one hundred mercenaries or Itani POWs (the surviving POWs in return are released from prison). The elected are then confined to a Serco prison asteroid for one to five days and given a minimalist diet and no access to training. Finally they are separated into two equal size groups, given identical uniforms with full face covering and no armor as well as their choice of...

A. One pair of Plav'terana, an ancient ritualistic seventeen inch dagger... the word is both singular and plural.
B. One Felcaticoza, a type of spear with two jagged blades set four inches apart on both ends as well as two bladed knuckle guards (one sliding one stationary). This is the favored option as the shaft is hollowand designed to hold toxins, drugs or in fourteen documented cases Norcidiac acid, which was outlawed on all Serco planets and stations with the exception of research stations and the political arena eleven hundred years ago.
or
C. Two Marididiazic Gauntlets. Marididiazic Gauntlets cover the fist, forearm and end in a retractable half metere blade, based on the families design (All Serco families have a personalized Maridozical dagger similar to the Plav'terana ceremonial dagger). What makes these particularly brutal is that the fist is covered by a high speed rotary spiked sphere, which contains five pneumatic spikes that operate at eleven hundred PSI. Upon impact, these pneumatic spikes detonate a small charge of explosives (though that aspect of the weapon is currently being debated by the "Serco Ethics of War and Political Advancement" committee.

The groups are then released onto a small battle field and fight until both groups have only one survivor, after a one hour period of rest... the remaining two combatants must by law, exchange weapons with each other or forgo weapons and fight to the death.

The winner then launches his "electoral campaign" as a series of speeches, televised political agendas and combat missions. At the end of which, all Serco cast their vote freely and voluntarily and he is sworn into office.

Ryan,

could you please poast a tl:dr version of that wall of text

A group of serco are chosen statistically, abducted, and forced to fight to the death until one remains. The survivor becomes the sole candidate in the election.

Do the players dress up for this occasion? If so what do they wear?

Strange question Rifter, would ye be a fashion victim? : )

If we tell ye "oiled naked bodies" will it get ye hot? : )
Mar 26, 2012 Pizzasgood link
Toss a match at one of those oiled bodies and even a plant would get hot.

What they wear is clearly stated in the description.
