Basic Rules
Only those who are on-time are allowed to participate.
Participants must be on their nation's team unless they can make a claim to be unaligned in which case they may choose to fight for Grey.
You may not start fighting until the host signals the start of the battle - this includes the 15 minute period prior to the planned starting time.
You may not return to the battle sector after you have left except to observe from a healthy distance in an EC-88 or EC-89.
No running from the asteroid field.
The last team standing wins.

So last week's Christmas Day NW didn't count as #295? :)
Oh crap, I didn't realize DJ hadn't posted the results from last week. I just looked at the last number I saw in the forum. So yeah, this one was 296. Too bad we can't edit thread titles in this forum.
Story of the real NW #295: CD in trident nuked my x-1 near the start then Itani and Grey tried to kill each other despite the fact that the UIT team had free reps waiting, then people decided that maybe working on killing the cap ship was a good idea but the Itanis forgot that order matters and tried to kill their tacit allies while they depended on them. UIT cleaned up. A fun NW.
Thank you for hosting Rin, I've been hurt pretty bad and am going through some rehabilitation at the moment. So I'm not sure when I'll be back in game yet, but it probably wont be soon or with me able to sit comfortably for long periods of time for awhile. On the bright side I have a toshiba thrive tablet I have been meaning to load VO on, so maybe when I do get back home I can do that and lay around and play.
But I wont be able to host NW this week, possibly longer. I still have the info of the real 295 on my laptop. So whenever I get home I'll make it as a post with the title of 296... and explain it in the body with a link to this one.

Somebody else will have to fill in for the next one, as I'll be away visiting my dad on the farm. He still hasn't jumped onto the Internet Bandwagon.

@ Maalik: I wasn't trying to nuke you specifically, I had planted it near a furball in hopes of lots of pretty fireworks, but they all strayed away from my one and only shot, so I orbited around the lonely nuke and you were just lucky ;)

sorry man, I was a bit confused with that NW. I came back for just 1 day after a really long time and ended in that NW. I was unaware that trident was actually participating (there were no player tridents in my time and none in nWs) so I shot a few pirates before I was told that UITs are using trident for repair&reload and it's actually playing on UIT side. I then turned on shooting it down along with others who were still alive. It was a pretty unfair NW since I noticed Phaser was just hiding inside trident waiting for us to spend all our ammo and get damaged to the point that he could kill us with one shot from his freshly repaired and reloaded SCP.
Despicable play and tactics.
