It was by far the largest NW I've seen, with fewest rules. Big surprise, Crusader as Niki's final challenge. Overall, very FUN! Grats to all!

But made clear major problems:
-Group size limit.
-Chat: We used a random channel number, but it would be better to have used NATION channel, while newbies would see action, like listening to news from frontlines on radio. That's only possible without gray team.
-Host: we had an improvised host, who have no tools to host. What if host's connection drops? No event for so many people?

and one suggestion: Another weekly event, every wednesday. or fridays.

And surely the huge prize with all Forum discussions (plus local weather for me) made that crowd a good stress test for VO's new server cluster!

lolol. this NW was without grey team, what stopped you from using nation channel? E.g. Serco team were using 11 for communication.

By the way, remember, next NW will be with grey team, because unaligned players proved to be de-facto the nation. I won't shoot my brothers and comrades from grey team anymore. And this NW is the best example that if we remove grey team, we remove balance from the game and the event.

There was no balance between the Teams?

I don't know about you, but as I observed it the three teams were almost the same size and about equally strong. A grey team would not improve anything in that regard.

man, if ye call "balance", that 4-5 itani left against 1 serco and 1 UIT, then.............. yes, yes, they were almost everyone shot in the couple of minutes, but the numbers are the numbers and I remember, how horde of itani tried to kill 3% Nahin. (and 5 because spidey broke the rules and returned on 100% X-1 with aeolus rep gun after he was killed (as far as I remember he was on IBG before) and tried to repair you. I scanned him and tried to say in chat, but was typekilled by ye). I participated in every NW for a long time and didn't see such "curvy" teams for ages. So -1 again.

IDK I will fight for grey next time, whether there will be "allowed" team or no.

But ye won, good job! Hope I will be more lucky next time and don't get typekilled :)

The teams were balanced enough at the start.
What the teams make out of that is their business. The Serco could have held together more and focused on those tactics Ghosts has always tried to popularize with proms. I'm sure Seragyn tried to do that, but it didn't turn out too well. Afterall there were a lot of Proms around. It could have definitely worked.

As for the UIT team.. I didn't really watch them that closely, but they seemed to scatter a lot like the itani. I just noticed that Crusader mostly kept his distance to the fighting and just flew around avoiding contact, obviously leaving his teammates alone.

Hosts always/often returned in a Non-EC-Cllass ship after they died to continue hosting the event. Spidey likes his valk, Ecka took his centaur, etc.
I did not notice spidey trying to repair me, so i don't know what you're on about.

If you want a balanced ending of the War, no one would win.

Yes I got the price and everyone who returned of my team got a part.

Isn't this how outlaws should act? Play for the grey team, but do so within the structure of the event. Until there is an official unaligned faction for regular players, this is probably how it should be anyway.

Sure, they should act that way, but then they shouldn't be allowed in NW anymore. They can come in and be assholes like that, kinda like peytros and crew did by coming in swarming everyone but it kinda ruins the whole player run fun event idea. Like if I just came into NW's where valks werent allowed with a valk cause like I felt like it. If I did that I would/should be banned.

honestly i didn't notice it being "unfair" there was a lot of kill the damn prom NOW tactics from everyone, but honestly thats expected. As far as tactics, things did fall apart (partly my fault, a last minute DC left us in 3 groups, unable to really coordinate well). If spider was trying to rep niki thats kinda jacked but i can't honestly comment either way, everyone seemed pretty damn low on armour at the end.

So basically, I didn't see it as unbalanced, until the unfortunate typekill pirren had enough armour to quite probably take all the remaining fighters fairly easily.

Great NW, best I've been to in a long time, especially since we had more than 30 people show up. I'm disappointed my ISP decided to die there but oh well, congrats Itani team.

Nah, tarenty, I almost never win NW and actually don't care on the result. I am much more interested in balance, fun and roleplay.

I don't care what you or others think, I will fight for the grey team. At least that's honest.

Serco are always outnumbered, but it's not something I mind. More honor to be had fighting for the underdog.
