A mystery lost to storms of time.
4439/03/06 - Betheshee
While exploring Serco space on an Itani Defense Force intelligence special assignment, I ran across a strange sector of space in Betheshee C-4.
This is the only 'Monitored' Ion Storm I've ever seen. Outside that, it seems to be a somewhat normal asteroid field with a strong static hive presence on par with the rest of the asteroid fields in Betheshee.
Not five minutes after my arrival, I was engaged by strike forces from the Serco Military. Without proper instrumentation for study and navigation within the storm, I was forced to cut this expedition short and return to Deneb.
4439/03/06 - Deneb O-3: Ellias Stand
Research resources at this station are somewhat limited, but from what I was able to piece together from confiscated Serco system maps and training materials, this strange sector is known to them as "Aeman's Defeat."
My efforts to resolve this mystery are interrupted by a page to my PDA; An SMV Teradon warped in to a small skirmish and all available fighters and bombers were scrambled to provide reinforcements. Aeman's defeat will have to wait another day.
4439/03/07 - Eo K-11: Eo's Garden
I took some time off to consult the monks at The Academy here at Eo's Garden. Surely there must have been some catastrophic event for the Serco to have permanently marked a "defeat" on their charts. Initially, my efforts were in vain. I was unable to find any reference to this sector or "Aeman" in the Chronicles of Exile, or any of the military records and research data. (Searched the forums, found NOTHING!)
One of the monks suggested that I send a query down planetside to see if their colleagues on the surface had any more information. I did so, and head off to find a meal. (Google time!)
With a roast unbeef sandwich and a bowl of fresh vegetable and TVP soup, I made my way for the gardens to eat. I'd not been seated for more than a minute before my PDA's message notification went off. There was only one account of any reference to this sector in all of the databases and libraries on Eo. In a public discussion forum at the UIT, a Serco by the name of "Solra Bizna" of the Phoenix Alliance mentioned a rumor that there was once a space station here destroyed by an asteroid collision. A station was destroyed there! If that's the case, then perhaps there are ruins left. What was this station for? How was it destroyed? Who was "Aeman" and how was he defeated? How are the Serco still monitoring the sector even within the depths of a storm? Is the hive somehow involved in all of this?
With many questions left to be answered. I placed an order for the necessary telemetry and navigation instruments to continue my research and departed for Deneb. Duty calls.

Today I received my scanners and a notification that the storm radar was on back-order by two days. Damn Xang Xi will sell you anything, but their customer support won't even give you the time of day unless you place a bulk order. The expedition will have to wait.
