What's the point of team competition with random teams?

I'm not sure how Veracity would feel about you appropriating the name of his event.

I'm pretty sure for a Wingman to be effective, he must know the lead pilot, and the lead pilot must know his Wingman. Random assignment based upon what the host deems fair makes this an "Ultimate Random Duo Tournament".

Not 100% sure how this is all going to work out, but I'm all for big group combat events!

One problem with custom teams- people like Ghost and Mecha (as they did last time...) can team up and basically prevent anyone else from even having a chance at winning. If you want, we can reschedule it and try it with custom teams.

I just want to blow things up. If custom teams would require rescheduling, then maybe do random teams with whoever's willing for this coming one, and do custom teams for the subsequent tournament?

K then... we'll have a tourny this sunday with whoevers showing up, and then we'll have another one in, say, 3, 4 weeks?
