Reborn Corporate Sectors Run 7
7th Reborn Corporate Sector Run Race Results
In addition to providing racer security in Odia M-14, Ecka Estenk of TGFT threw in an additional 1 million credits to bring the total pot for this race to 3 million credits.
Racers:
Mr. Chaos, CHRN member, last CSR winner and level 13 trader (who knew?), racing a Corvus Greyhound with a Mega Positron, Hive Positron and FC battery.
Morphix, TGFT member, Corvus Greyhound, Neutron blaster with Concussion Mines, FC battery.
ccaspar, ONE member, Corvus Greyhound, Positron blaster with Proximity? Mines, FC battery.
Hoden Dokelis, old school Warthog MKII, unknown loadout, as he false started and did not return to the start line.
The Race:
Hoden Dokelis decided to become an assassin instead of a racer, but the wiley Morphix ended his hopes at the Odia side of the Sedina/Odia wormhole. Nevertheless, Hoden took some armor off Morphix's Greyhound, which made him bait for Mr. Chaos.
Said Chaos, after Morphix took the early lead despite Hoden's desperate attempt to earn some credits: "i swear if i get the chance im taking morphy out"
Which lead TGFT Commander Ecka Estenk to reply: "aye , but you pay for dinner ........"
Chaos quickly made good on his promise, destroying Morphix at Latos B-6, which guaranteed the pirate/racer third place money, even if he was destroyed on the trip, for assassinating the third racer remaining.
Chaos led for half the way, despite taking a break during the crossing of Dau to chase and destroy Plozi in a Behomoth XC! Even the commander of CLM, Look...No Hands had to admit that this was an accomplishment, stating: "ain't seen that done in years."
Once Mr. Chaos hit Verasi, like the hare in the old Sol tale, he decided to take a break for some Verasi Specialty Foods. ccaspar passed Chaos in that system and held the lead all the way to Odia, despite Look...No Hands attempting a rail shot on caspar in Bractus. Evidently, the CLM pirate was, in his own words, "damn rusty" and failed to earn the second place monies.
But then the lucky tortoise from ONE made a serious blunder -- he headed to Sedina! With victory in grasp, he forgot the finish line! Chaos docked at Corvus Hold for first place, with the Serco soldier ccaspar turning a sure victory into second place.
While Morphix had a chance to exact revenge on Mr. Chaos in Bractus (which would've earned him second place monies), he replied post-race that "I couldn't resist my nice nature." Spoken like a true trader in TGFT -- perhaps he'll become the third member of Horton's Interstellar Pacifists Association. And maybe Mr. Chaos will keep to his promise to "take Morphix out." He certainly has enough money to pay for it.
Race Results:
1st Place, Mr. Chaos, 1.5 million credits, 21:48
(mmm, mmm, finger lickin' good in Verasi)
2nd Place, ccaspar, 900K credits, 22:51
3rd Place, no finisher, money to Mr. Chaos for destroying third racer remaining, Morphix, 600K.
Hoden Dokelis was DQed for failing to return to the starting line after one false start.

Rules are as usual, except I'll allow Valkyries for this race (the Greyhound seems to make the Valk ban meaningless, but I'd like to see what happens.):
1) Racers must race from Odia M14 through Ukari, Union space and Edras, ending back in Odia M-14.
2) Contestants must be within 300m of the MC(s) before the start
3) No shooting before I start the race.
4) You die and you're out (so no /exploding)
5) First person to get back and dock at Odia M14 wins the first prize. (1 million credits)
6) Second person back gets 2nd place prize (600k credits)
7) Third person back gets 3rd place prize (400k credits)
8) All ships and setups are allowed.
9) Docking along the way to repair (or using EMS services or something similar) is allowed.
10) Imitating or impersonating the MC in any way is grounds for disqualification, as it delays the race unnecessarily. This includes, but is not limited to: Imitating the starting signals (firing of an AGT or saying "Go").
11) Two false starts disqualify a racer.
12) As per Deneb Run Rules, racer kills OUTSIDE OF ODIA M14 may be rewarded under the following conditions: Any pilot, racing or not, is eligible to earn money as follows:
Pre-condition #1: There must be at least 3 racers participating.
Pre-condition #2: Less than 3 racers complete Reborn Corporate Sectors Run #6.
Pre-condition #3: - Kills in the Odia M-14 sector are not eligible and making any racer kill in Odia M14 disqualifies an assassin.
If the above pre-conditions are met, available prize money will be awarded to those who killed the racers as follows:
- Destroying the final racer left -- first place credits.
- Destroying the second racer left -- second place credits.
- Destroying the third racer left -- third place credits.
No reward for self-destructing to destroy your own ship or another.
