CHRN is first to own a station.
That is all.
That is all.
CHRN is also the first to successfully defend a station.
The abandoned station discovered in Latos I-8 has been officially claimed by Kharon's Shores, and named "Acheron's Gate". All allies of CHRN are welcome to Acheron's Gate, simple ask your local CHRN agent for a key. Other pilots may negotiate a payment for docking and/or mining privileges. All pilots entering the sector without declaring their intentions beforehand will be assumed hostile and destroyed.
Commercial docking rights to Acheron's Gate are unavailable until user keys are implemented.
As ladron stated, state your intentions immediately over sector chat upon entering Latos I-8 or be assumed hostile and destroyed.
All outlaws and pirates seeking refuge are welcome at Acheron's Gate for free, of course. This station is a universal pirate station.

Congrats, CHRN. This should be fun.
Way to go us!
An alliance of anti-pirate players and guilds has taken the station, for now.
Get the name right, strat: this is now and will forever henceforth be called Latos I-8, "Acheron's Gate."
As of when I logged on at 1-23-10, 12:45pm the station was in the hands of Ostello Lennan, and about a dozen players were successfully holding it.
Yeah, we stole I-8. No longer called Acheron's Gate until you take it back :P. What kind of a stupid name is that anyway?
Ard reports that we once again have access, courtesy of a few million credits to the right person. We will re-conquer when we're ready.
A few million credits? psh, it was free.
Heh, I guess we owe that jerk a favor now instead. I'd rather have just paid him :P
Archeron's Gate is a cool name and all, but too much refference to your own vaunted guild for my tastes.
EDIT: IGNORE THIS I SUCK WANGS

Ok, from now on Acheron's Gate will become the VO euphanism for [self edit]
Mind you, some good pvp fun in there, look forward to the mechanism developing.

Most of the player-base isn't well educated enough to know what the Acheron is, fewer still understand the specific Acheron that's being referenced here, and approximately none would make the connection between that and [CHRN]. More's the pity for humanity's collective IQ, but it makes it a generic enough name :P And it would give VO a touch of historical reference.

Yea, after the point Pey raised in the other thread, It sounds like a more decent idea now. :)
I had a bunch of fun with this today. Smaug and I managed to win control of the station from Itan with some Serco help at one point.
Later, after I had no desire left to fight I hung out with a non-pirate alt at the station and got murdered by a coalition of VPR, TGFT, and ONE over and over again. No matter how many times I said that I wasn't a threat they kept shooting me. twas fun.
I thought that TGFT and VPR respected alt separation but apparently not... :P

We had a lot of fun today. The anti-pirate alliance (mostly VPR, TGFT, ONE, and some UIT nationalists) held the station pretty much all day, although I think [Itan] independently had it for a few minutes at one point. The rats and their allies made a great effort to retake it at various times throughout the afternoon and night. Tomorrow should be interesting.
Itan fought along side ONE, VPR, TGFT, et al. the majority of the time I was there.
