Greetings.

The Argonian Ryders have come to VO.

We are a guild that looks beyond nationality. We not Role Players by any means, but I do not frown on it. We enjoy the social aspects of games, exploring, and helping others as much as we can.

The only thing we are not into is pirating. We will help each other and others with missions, and when we get good enough with the game (all of the members so far are new players) we will run escorts for traders.

We are a guild that is more like a family then anything else. We've been together since May of 2003, when I founded the Ryders in Microsoft Freelancer, and hosted my own server. The Ryders were founded to take the spot of the Server Police. We patrolled the new player areas, and had squads that patrolled other systems looking for hackers and pirates preying on traders.

We gad garnered a name for ourselves in the Freelancer community, as being tough but fair in the moderation of our Freelancer server.

We are also active in Star Wars Galaxies (Even if the game isn't that active anymore...hehe) we still maintain a division over there, and probably will until they turn the lights out.

We have survived by being friends both inside and outside of games.

And the moderating...it's just the way some Server Admins like myself called making sure that griefing was at a minimal...especially in the new player starting system.

In theory thats a good way to run a guild, in practice it can be... vexing, to say the least. At any rate... on behalf of the Bractus Liberation Front, welcome. We wish you and [AR] the best of luck in your endeavors, so long as they do not interfere with the endeavors of the BLF.

[EDIT] If I may ask, you say you're anti piracy... yet your guilds emblem is clearly derived from the Jolly Roger. Why is that?

Perhaps they're trying to steal the glory of VF-84. It was a US Navy squadron that flew the Jolly Roger on the tails of their aircraft. It's common knowledge that the U.S. Navy is in the anti-piracy business. So....

What is all this "we" stuff? She has a kid that plays too?

It isn't like two people are going to dent the pirates. From the looks of this "guild", dozens of them would be minimal impact. If they ever even had dozens of anything.

They should be tani. They talk it up like tani. I bet they run like tani. Not that I really care. Kill all the pirate you want. Just be aware that calling someone else a pirate is a prime tactic to drag you into a conflict you would rather not be in. Make your own list of who is and isn't a "pirate" by your own definition of "pirate".

Sidenote: What is with the uptick in new guilds coming out recently? Did anarchy break out in mass ingame? VPR and TGFT fold when the stock market collapsed? ONE and SKV/ITAN finally wipe each other out?
