Growler is an Honorary CHRN
Growler died like 400 times tonight (more like 600) and kept coming back for more (despite our fair warnings). We hereby award him honorary CHRN status (meaningless) and offer him the Spirit Award for bravery (stupidity) in the face of overwhelming odds (one CHRN in a govbus).
Congrats Growler, thank you for all the easy kills!

Impavid, you owe me a new keyboard. This one is now full of a nasty mixture of saliva and coke.
Does the honorary CHRN status put him on the VPR KOS list?
No that puts him on the VPR LOVES YOU list!! Good job Growlor!!
Aye. It looks like Growlor showed bravery and persistent determination in the face of probable death. Regardless of the specific circumstances, that is the kind of attitude and spirit that we would like to see more of. The Vipers salute you, Growlor.
oh man... again?!
he IS a persistant one...

That does describe the VPR combat style to a Tee.
They have combat style?
To the extent that 'show up and die as fast as possible' can be considered a style.
I thought style as in stylish.
Look, a pony;)

I do believe that many guild's combat policy, is similar to the WW2 Japanese style:
"Throw everything and the kitchen sink at the enemy, see what you can do. Then if you're first forces get slaughtered, send in another wave, and another wave until you have nothing left, then start trashing talking propaganda from a distance while throwing rocks."

Only people who say that are the ones who don't know how to fly as a team. If you look at our pk:death ratios on any given night, assuming we're not ridiculously outnumbered (a little outnumbered is fine because we have very strong group tactics) you'll see that even when it's 2-3 of us against 5-6 of them, we come out on top, usually 4:1 or higher, because we practice solid group fight tactics.
Same reason we keep winning nation war and barely lose a pilot. The Serco sit still and wait, the Itani scatter every man for himself style, and the UIT are all n00bs lately, so we call targets, stick to our wingman, and kick ass.
You should all try to learn from us, we're freakin awesome.

Yes, unfortunately your assessment is damn near spot-on. The major nations and major guilds have all lagged behind the Grey-space natives in developing effective group combat tactics. No doubt due in part to the entangling alliances that many have woven that virtually halt all major, full-scale warfare against each other in which major advances would be made.
Perhaps CHRN should consider building itself an expensive little "War College" where it could teach aspiring fighter jocks how to really fly and fight effectively. Could be lucrative for CHRN, as well as make the bar a little higher for those NWs.

You can be my wingman anytime, Impavid.
