UIT ACTION NEWS ALERT

JB, the Itani attacked first and had already occupied many Serco domes, while the Serco just retreated and fortified.
The Serco obviously had to plan something to stop the war, and what better plan than to kill Akan?
Akan was gonna die either way. What wouldve changed was the destiny of the Itani populace. If Akan hadnt ordered the bombings of Pacifica and New Shangai, the Serco wouldnt have gotten pissed and tried to exterminate them.

You are mistaken if you think Vim has not popped up again, or will not do so in the future.

Also, JB, what makes you so sure the Serco took out Akan?

Hmmm...
After more than a thousand years, I'd say Vim is pretty much dead. Though he must've been an important member of the group of Itani whose descendants would later form the Order of Akan.

But who knows, maybe they kept samples of his DNA and he's been cloned over and over again through time.

Also,
"What makes you so sure the Serco took out Akan?"

I guess it would make sense that he was killed by rebels or that it was a coup by the Itani military.
Also, the Serco didnt really need to kill Akan for their invasion to succeed. I doubt Akan would have been able to come up with a brilliant strategy to repel their invasion, specially with half of the military rising up against him.
Maybe the Serco didnt even have guises to begin with. If they had, they wouldnt have used them to kill Akan. They would have used them to sabotage their defenses or something like that.

ooc: damnit, wtf am I doing discussing fictional history? I should be studying Anatomy >_>

If the Itani killed Akan then that makes our case stronger. It shows that Akan didn't have the support of the people. You might blame him for starting the war but you can;'t blame the people as a whole.

What if the Akanese killed Akan? And what if Markus Vim was never really a target of the guises at all?
Mar 17, 2009 JestatisBess link
There were no Akanesse or Order of Akan till many years after he died. I feel the Order of Akan did a good job defending the Itani people. Akan might have been mad but the Order has always looked out for the interests of the Itani nation.

No, you just didn't read about them in the history books until then. Try not to confuse that with their existance.

I disagree. Look at the actions of the Order of Akan. I doubt Akan would have completely approved of them. He would want them to go into serco space and kill the scum. Not just protect the Itani people. And it makes no sence that the Order would be around when Akan was alive. The order might have come about when the Itani left Terra II though.

"He would want them to go into Serco space and kill the scum"
Please read the backstory carefully...
The part where it says they attempted to do so, but were stopped by the Itani in fear of an even greater Serco retaliation.

Also, Akanese have been going into Serco space.
Read from AD4390 to present day.

The so called back story is a complete load of over-long shite. The sooner it goes the better.
Our [ONE]'s guild blurb did want to include this:
Serco players should not feel like "passive accomplices" to an "evil empire" (as one of our members put it); the back story was written by a dev a long time ago and is now plain out-dated for a soon to be very aspiring commercial MMORPG, it should be withdrawn and have something replace it to advertise VO properly.
And i can say no better now. But of course, it got censored from what we wanted to say on http://www.vendetta-online.com/x/guildinfo/125/
Mar 20, 2009 Whistler link
It didn't get "censored". Censorship implies that it was removed because it was deemed objectionable, harmful or sensitive. That was not the case - it was simply out of place.

/edit: At least I think that's why I omitted it. I don't see us discussing it back then - which is odd.

If you ask me, we should have Serco and UIT equivalents to the Itani-written back-story. It, in and of itself, isn't bad; the lack of multiple perspectives is. Every writer, no matter how impartial they try to be, is going to be at least a little biased. You might see that as a problem, but in the presence of opposing viewpoints, that can add a lot of flavor if handled well.

Seen here, ten of the Itani fighter craft that took part in the early morning massacre of over 17,000 Serco civilians living in refugee camps. The number of injuries is now estimated at 137,000. With the destruction of several hospitals it is unclear where the injured are being treated or what condition they are in.

Serco scum and the UIT can get our ships. There is no proof that the Itani are behind this. The serco could have done it to them selfs.

By the way i see you are red now. Finally you come out of the closet and join the scum.

"Serco scum and the UIT can get our ships."

be that as it may, a terrorist such as you spouting off about it wasnt the Itani...while being such a vocal supporter of the killing of all Serco. It makes a man wonder where your mind is?

All that aside...you are confused, you say I joined "the scum"...but I have clearly joined the Serco NOT the itani.

Oh snap!
