Shadoen: (despite posting in the incorrect thread and being at least the 5th to not read instructions)
So...
What events happened which led you to do this, vehement?
This decision is the culmination of multiple events over my nearly two years as an active Serco pilot. Any one of these insults could have been and were often ignored. Their sum total, however, cries out for action. Seeing as I have nothing to postpone or mitigate my anger any longer, now was the obvious time to act. The Itani collective repeatedly and deliberately has twisted the truth in public channels to pose themselves as right and everyone else as wrong. Some of this has even been directed at me specifically. I am no longer willing to tolerate their party line.

Seven Itani paid tonight for the delays of their leaders. The total is now 18.
The number would be far higher, but I took several hours off to prosecute the destruction of Ahriman. He sought to usurp my actions for his own gain. This could not be allowed to happen, so priorities changed until the greater evil was driven off.
I sacrificed so much every day as a Viper. I cannot understand for the life of me why the Itani are so dependent upon their lies that they would alienate an ally like me. Just sign the declaration and take a stand against deception. I don't want to shoot down your newbs any more than you want to fight every pirate in Sedina without a single ally. I gladly gave of my time, blood, and ships to allow you to trade or mine in peace. Why is it too much to ask for you to promise me not to deceive any longer?

Seventeen Itani paid for the delays in signing of the declaration this day. The total is now 35.
My condolences go out to any family and/or friends of Jessalia Oshesis, an Itani strike force pilot. This fine young woman went above and beyond the call of duty, pursuing me all the way to Edras Command (G-11). The look on her face when she approached me after docking was quite transparent. When she struck, I was ready. A knife is a terrible way to die. A little bird told me that her body can be found outside of maintenance airlock 17. Grey space is no place for innocent idealistic pilots such as young Jessalia. Any number of unfortunate things might happen.

Guys, I need your help here. The Serco faction in our beloved space game is caught in a sort of catch-22 (to quote sheffield). Say there are five players online. Joe Serco decides he wants some company while he kills a hive queen. He asks for a hand; none of the other Serco say a word, for whatever reason. He gets bored, and tomorrow decides not to play. Now there are four. The next new Serco faces exactly the same problem, with the exact same odds against him.
If you are Itani or UIT, this doesn't happen. You look at the player list and see a dozen names your color; you ask for help and get a response, even if they can't fly to your aid immediately. This creates an atmosphere where Itani stay Itani, Independents stay Independent, but Serco switch or cease to log on. Yes, this RP of mine is not likely to achieve any results other than making people angry. I knew this from day one. On an OOC level, I am trying to illustrate the problem for those who may not be aware. No matter how many Itani newbs I drive away from the game, Blue will still remain strong.
Alternatively, every single Serco newb that the community discourages is a death knell. We can't afford it on the red side. Now shoving my declaration RP in the trash can where it belongs for a moment, what can be done?
The Serco need Itani and Union players to encourage red newbs until there are enough Serco to self-sustain one another. Do you need to sign my silly declaration? Of course not. But your consideration is needed here. If the Itani ever want serious resistance in BS or CtC, they should be the biggest supporters of new players who choose red.
Think about it.
Vehement's crusade will probably end tomorrow, one way or another. A lot of his motivation stems from his troubled marriage (which those of you who follow this forum probably know already). When his wife makes her mark, I don't foresee him prowling blue space anymore. I just hope that the community will take the steps necessary in channel 100 to help the Serco be part of the game again.

Whats a Serco?
red team, yoda ;)
OOC:
The problem is the majority of online Serco pilots are usually either pirates or belong to other factions (particularly PA or Viper) that aren't nationalist. Even SDF isn't really nationalist -- they are more viper like.

Listen, Itani is the nation for newb sheep, UIT is the nation for asshole sheep and Serco is the nation for asshole loners. Quit trying to make them all the same. That's just stupid, asshole.

There shall arise a prince from the Dominion, and he shall come bringing doom for whom it is reserved: and he shall be the feared expectation of the Itani; binding their destiny to the stars; washing his robe in the blood of the fallen unbelievers.

Gah! What unmarked grave did he pop out of!? One blithering fanatic at a time is plenty, thank you.

I wanted to reply, I really did, but for Vehement to reply in character to Lexicon would require him to lose his mind. Vehement, more specifically Everson, helped in the final destruction of Lexi. Wrap-up post for declaration coming later today.
My wife has appealed to me on behalf of the Itani to cease my crusade. For her sake, and hers alone, I will do so. The Itani have paid a high price in ships, and I suspect the long term price of my leaving the Vipers will cost them even more still. I had not intended to leave their ranks, but noncompliance with my request has forced my hand. It is my sincere hope that the influential blue pilots of known space will do their utmost to put an end to the deceptions of the past and any new ones in the future. I will be doing my part from the red side, as a pilot known as Everson, whose memories I share, once did.

At this point, I'm very disappointed in the Itani players (no offense all of you). I look at it a different way, and I see that this is one reason why the Serco numbers are so low. Not only that, i believe more people appeal to the Itani side of the Back Story, the conservative, self-compelled, strong believing race, that decided to try to be nice and ended up punished by war, even when they lacked weapons at its start.
It's true that we, Itani pilots, but really only game players of the same game, should keep encouraging Serco pilots to stick to it. I have noticed an increasing number recently, of those that are new, and I have talked to them, and asked them to keep playing. But I cannot help them fight or SHOW them a move, because my standing sucks (KOS, but I'm bringing it up for this cause and so i can get around without being chased by an SF).
In response to Aramarth/Vehement, I do say I will help out with getting Serco pilots to stay (except in BS, I'm all Itani there :D).

'Newb, stick to being Serco, so's we have more newbs to kill'
Say what?
Say what?

Thats the only side to the back story you boob, its written by an Itani.

Goshdarnit, YOU two could get England to go to war with the Queen. Hush and shoo, this thread is concluded.
Your lies are so loathsome that even I cannot describe them with words.
Threads aren't concluded until they are locked... ;)

It is easy to conclude a thread. Watch:
NINNY!!!!
NINNY!!!!
O NOES TEH NINNYLOCK!
Dang, the thread got all serious before I could do my Itan nationalist rant.
Oh well, that being said....a few suggestions:
1. Serco needs to advertise. When we post on other forums, have a Serco themed sig. Talk up Serco to friends.
2. Maybe we need faction boards, so Serco players can talk among themselves, find out when others are on-line, and have larger events.
3. RP events. Maybe Serco leadership members can start having weekly events to gather people together. These might be Serco only hive hunts, etc.
4. Maybe offer some enticements to UIT and Itani members to split off. Make an RP out of it. I"m sure Serco would love to take some wussy thinkers and pump em full of cybernetics and meds and unleash them against old friends.
What makes being Serco fun?
What would make it more fun?
How can you organize to let the most people know about the fun side of Serco?
How can that information be gotten to new players? (maybe posts on MMORPG.com?)
God-dang it..being helpful when all I wanted to do was rant about Itani injustice. *grumble* *mutter*
