OK, so last time it was called the "United Combatants Dueling Tournament," but I haven't really settled on a name yet, and I've changed guilds since the last one... but this is pretty much the same tourney! We have not yet settled who will be sponsoring this one, but it will be worked out by the time it begins, and maybe by then we'll even have settled on a name, once and for all!

The last tournament was a qualified success, and we are making a few "improvements" as a result. Hopefully we'll continue to learn and refine this regular event with each attempt.

Start of combat- Sunday, December 23rd, 2007 0100 GMT (note the GMT, people, this means it will still be Saturday the 22nd for all of us in the Eastern Hemisphere).

Location- Sedina D-2

1. All contestants must have a rating of at least 3/3/-/-/- by start of combat to participate.
2. To allow participation by both new and experienced players, all duels must be fought in Vulture MkI ships with a loadout of Neutron Blaster MkI's, these can both be obtained locally at Sedina L-2 .
3. Duelists may use an alternate loadout so long as both parties agree to it, however the ships and loadouts must still be identical (e.g. Tri-Flare Valk X-1s or even Behemoths with Plasma Devastators, if you really want, anything goes, but both duelists MUST agree- an XC ramming contest could be an interesting diversion).
4. Payment of 5000c entrance fee must be made to Gadek Soja prior to start of combat. Please pre-register, but pay on the day of the tourney. No refunds.
5. There will be a cash prize of 10M credits to the winner. Bonus prize at sponsor's discretion. No runner-ups.
6. All contestants must be present in Sedina D-2 by 0130 GMT on December 23nd, or their place is forfeit. Last minute proxies will be allowed to take the place of any no-show.
7. Each duel must be observed to ensure rules are followed and to confirm victory.
8. Please try to sign up early, so I can put the brackets together and not be scrabbling for a piece of paper while the tournament is going on. We will take last minute sign ups if necessary, but I'd rather not.
9. Brackets will be announced and posted on the forum by Friday, December 21st.
10. Spectators may observe in unarmed EC-class vessels.
11. All entrants will be given Ultra Charge power cells to equip before each duel.

Not AM... If you are in central US, you should try to be in Sedina by 1900 on Saturday the 22nd. This is 7 PM (GMT-6). 8 PM Eastern (GMT-5). 9 Atlantic (GMT-4). 10 GMT -3, 11 GMT -2, Midnight GMT-1 and 0100 in GMT.

We did have confusion last time though, so I can't stress enough that people pay attention to the time zone conversion. 0100 GMT on Sunday the 23rd is still Saturday the 22nd in a lot of places...
