The Order of Akan claimed obsidian black as their color long before [syn] was founded. By the logic [syn] uses, the universe belongs to them, but obviously that isn't the case.

Oh, and if all the Traders and Miners were killed off, where would the money come from? Service goods can only go so far before the economy gets short-changed. Stations would become insular, and Pirates can't rob stations (primarily because of the angry security teams they would encounter). It would only be a matter of time before the Pirates could no longer sustain their lifestyle. If pirates were eliminated, however, traders and miners would endure. Although the Pirate's life is swift, adventurous, and violent, it simply doesn't have any lasting power (just look what happened to BLAK; the most successful Pirate group of its time).

Now, if you want a fight, I'd be more than happy to pull a few strings and send a few UPK officers your way (really, they need the practice), but leave the traders alone (so long as they remain within protected space, anyway).

Actually, not to get pissy, but SYN have been around LONGER than the backstory, in one form or another, so AKAN can kiss our collective asses :P

Actually I think they coexist quite well. If the traders die then the pirates will retire. Eventually traders will come back because there won't be any pirates, now of course the pirates will come back or new pirates will be born. Now if the traders killed the pirates off well same deal. New pirates would eventually come in one form or another. (see corporate wars)

Pirates are just traders with guns, and a large appetite for money.
