==The Racers==
Katrina Le-Feir - Union pilot, council of PA. A veteran racer who rarely fails to place in the top three in her trademark Orion Hornet, the "Kit-e-Kat".
Termulator - Union pilot. This was his first race.
Foo Fighter - Itani pilot, council of ITAN. New to the racing scene, but has skill.
tumblemoster - UIT member of CLM. This was his first race I think.
tramshed - Serco member of CLM. This was his first race.
Jestatis Bess - Commander of ONE1, he has a decent racing record.
Pancakes - UIT pilot. This was his first race, I believe.
Sharingan - Serco member of SCAR. He's new to the racing scene, but I don't think this was his first race.
Waldoze - UIT member of TGFT. He's raced a bunch in recent weeks.
Ihugo Tsunami - Itani pilot. I think this was his first race.
==The Results==

tramshed | Drop | Vulture MkIII, FC, no weapons.
Foo Fighter | DNF | Orion Hornet Convoy Guardian, FC, no weapons.
==Anti-racers==
Yukimaru - Serco - 2 kills: Termulator, Foo Fighter (assist)
look ...no hands - UIT - 1 kill: Foo Fighter
Verizon - ISP - 1 kill: Sharingan (drop out)
==Observations==
1) MC Spammer worked tonight, aside from a few small bugs which have been ironed out for next week (attempts to chat more frequently than allowed, a typo that caused racers entering Pherona B-14 to be ignored). Yay!
2) Fairly deadly race tonight. Two racers were killed or dropped out before even three minutes had passed, and a total of four out of ten racers did not finish.
Assuming no schedule conflicts, next week's Deneb Run will be in the EARLY slot. See you next week!

Thanks to Miharu and Eonis for their MC'ing. MCSpammer may be spammy, but looks like a terrific tool. Congrats to both!
My hat is off for tumblemonster. A well deserved win, and a very good race time, in such a stormy night. If only storms were a bit less erratic in their movements... Ah, well, can't have everything. :)
Verizon registered as a racer killer against Sharingan made me literally roll on floor, even if I know it's not fun at all for who has to deal with them.
One thing I'd really look for in the next runs: less pressure from betting players. The book on DRs is all nice and cute, but racers race for the docking prize, not to rig the bets.

Meh.
I was a good 25-30 seconds in the lead when I reached Pelatus and probably would have registered under 28:15" (well clear of my P.B.) were it not for [CLM] unrats. :-( I'll blitz it another time.

I told you in IM: having institued the betting on winners would make the races very interesting to some kind of people.
The same kind of people who split equally between the racing pilots, and the ones waiting for the racers in gresypace WHs.
Did it come to your attention that this is the first DR in the history that registered so many pirates in the starting grid?
You harvested what you planted. Nothing more, nothing less.
I wonder how it can come as a surprise, really.

Yeah, I did tell you that running a sports book on a race with so much potential for random events would be risky. A horse race has rules. The Deneb Run has built in possibility for extreme fluctuation. Even factoring in the pirates won't help you making odds, because how can you tell who's gonna show?
Still, even with your payouts on me I'm sure you made a decent bit of cash.
