==The Racers==
Katrina Le-Feir - Union pilot, council of PA. A veteran racer who rarely fails to place in the top three in her trademark Orion Hornet, the "Millenium Kitten".
Cranston Gorky - Union pilot, lieutenant of ITG. He races from time to time.
Foo Fighter - Itani pilot, council of ITAN. This isn't his first race, I think, but he is still new to the racing scene.
Rodana-Do Yoman - Union pilot. This was his first race.
tramshed - Serco member of CLM. This was his first race.

==The Results==
Foo Fighter | 30:45 | Orion Hornet Convoy Guardian, FC, no weapons.
Cranston Gorky | 30:51 | Orion Hornet Convoy Guardian, FC, 1x Geminis.
Katrina Le-Feir | 31:17 | EC-89, FC, no weapons.
Rodana-Do Yoman | Drop | Hornet MkII, FC, 4x Geminis.
tramshed | DNF | Corvus Marauder Mercenary, FC, no weapons.

==Observations==
1) Katrina finished the run in a govbus yet again, breaking the time she set during the last race! Looks like practice does make perfect! This is also the first time an EC-89 or 88 has placed well enough to earn prize money! Congrats!
2) MC Spammer wasn't used today because I hadn't installed the most recent version on my computer. Oops. >.>
3) tramshed was killed two minutes and thirty-four seconds into the race, and Rodana-Do dropped out twenty-six minutes and thirty-six seconds into the race when real life issues got in the way. (Ironically, 26:36 is the current record for a Deneb Run finish.)

Poor Tramshed only lasted 2 minutes and thirty seconds.

32 seconds. 32 measly seconds!!! And my top speed was 2/3 of their one!

Yes, I'm going for better placement in DRs with an EC89. My goal? Easy to guess... ;)

Yesterday's race had another record (at least for me): the first one without storms in the ENTIRE Serco-Itani path, even the godawful Jallik. That's where probably I lost my race.

Ah, well, congrats to Foo and Cranston. And special thanks to the host, and her patience with players.

Kat: it seams really odd for you to be so close to wining.. Foo and Cranston must suck :) j/k

Great job by Kat.
I'm pretty sure in the EC107 She'd have got top spot.
Amazingly good even in an EC89. Reminds me of when Schumacher won races in a crappy Benetton (or his early Ferrari days).

Actually I got a suggestion for Kat, Miharu, Mick, Alexei and Cranston for Deneb Run; a kind of meta- competition:
Deneb Run 101 - 150 is Season 1 of the Deneb Run Championship.
Points are awarded thus:
1st 10 pts
2nd 6 pts
3rd 4 pts
Finished outside the podium: 1 pts for finishing.

Any special or end-of-season finales (like the DR 100) count for double points. No points for pirating.

I will pledge a few $Mil Sponsorship money; I'll rustle up others to pledge as well. But it's the trophy that counts, not the money (you get money from the races :-D )

We should have bets and stakes in this races.
Aug 13, 2007 toshiro link
Who's going to run the bookie's? You?
Aug 13, 2007 EddyHolland link
Gentlemen: I will make a book on the outcome of these races; you can place a fixed-odds bet with me.
The odds for D.R. 106:

2/1 Mick * favourite
5/2 Jestatis Bess
5/2 Katrina-L-F
4/1 Cranston-Gorky
4/1 Maiz Man
4/1 Waldoze
- - Aleksey : see me for a quote.
no bets taken on Foo Fighter .... [timestamp: Tuesday 14 x xxx these odds are stale see my main thread]
odds on other racers: see me.
Betting will close before the race commences.
Only bets whose stakes are fully paid up before race start, are valid.
Minimum Bet: 50,000c Maximum Bet: 1M c
The odds will change as the book fills, approaching the race.
These odds are quoted English-style: (a 2/1 against bet, pays out on a $1 bet $2 prize + $1 stake = $3 total, IF the racer WINS). DNFs and No-shows will count as a loss.

If there is interest and demand for Betting, the following week I will give odds on the 1st Championship of Deneb Run (Dr101 - Dr150) and most likely setup a separate alt specifically to manage the Betting separately.

If you want to bet you must:
* find me in-game
* failing that, post me a reply message here or
* post a message on the www.coalitionofitan.org forum, public thread.

good luck

I will be racing as long as the run happens in the early slot. I'm pretty sure Miharu mentioned that being the official time ...

The Deneb Run's start time alternates between 21:00 GMT Saturday and 01:00 GMT Sunday each week.

Next week (#106) will be in the early, or 21:00 slot.

Wow, I get the same odds as Kat? I'm feeling pretty good about myself. And as for Jestatis' comment, I hit two storms in Initros, but I don't know what Foo's excuse is.
Aug 14, 2007 EddyHolland link
no excuse. :-D
