==The Racers==
Katrina Le-Feir - Union pilot, council of PA. A veteran racer who rarely fails to place in the top three in her trademark Orion Hornet, the "Millenium Kitten".
Jestatis Bess - Akanese commander of ONE1. A regular racer in the Deneb Run who has yet to take home first prize.
Cranston Gorky - Union pilot, lieutenant of ITG. He races from time to time.
Waldoze - Union pilot, probationary member of TGFT. This was his second race.
Mick - Union pilot, council of PA. A veteran racer who frequently places first in his trademark Vulture MkIII.
Maiz Man - Union pilot, council of PA. He's raced a few times so far.
Riyusone Haro - Serco pilot, member of SCAR. This was his first race.
==The Results==
Mick | 28:41 | Vulture MkIII, FC, no weapons.
Jestatis Bess | 30:05 | Orion Hornet Convoy Guardian, FC, no weapons.
Riyusone Haro | 30:08 | Orion Hornet Convoy Guardian, FC, 1x LENB.
Waldoze | 30:19 | Orion Hornet Convoy Guardian, FC, no weapons.
Cranston Gorky | 32:48 | TPG Atlas X, FC, 1x Geminis.
Maiz Man | 34:25 | Orion Hornet Convoy Guardian, FC, no weapons.
Katrina Le-Feir | 37:27 | EC-89, FC, no weapons.
==Observations==
1) Katrina finished the run in a govbus, beating Erik C.'s time with an EC-89, however Erik's record still stands as she didn't use a stock EC-89. Still an impressive finish, even with the slowest ship in the game as far as turbo speeds go.
2) Orion Hornets dominated the space lanes tonight. Only three pilots flew other ships. Mick in the Vulture placed first, and Katrina in the EC-89 placed last (not her fault though!)
3) Mecha Touriuas scraped at least three kills off of Jan Rhapsody, who was attempting to kill the racers off. Hats off to Mecha for his hat trick.
4) MC Spammer was not used tonight due to technical difficulties. declare(), we curse thee.
Next week's Deneb Run will be in the LATE slot. Hope to see you there!

You go, Kat! You should really try it with a free batt sometime. Fun fun, gets the heart pumping.
Kat's notes:
1) Flying the "Canned Kitten" was great fun. However, not for the faint of heart: due to its low speed, an EC-89 cannot outrun the hive assault ships. This makes long storms extremely dangerous: the aggressive assaults (a pair of TyCorps, in my case) WILL hunt you and WILL hit you - unless you can dodge properly - while you slowly crawl for the storm exit point.
2) I repaired in Pherona Garden (Pherona J8) with 1% left, due to those blasted TyCorps. It was wonderful to repair for 0c! :D
3) From Pherona J8 to the Artana WH in P7, I hit a 12km long storm. Full of ApuTech Guardians. That was some seriously thrilling flight.
4) I hit five storms. I didn't prerace properly, however, and the one in Jallik appeared during the run.
5) 37 mins with five storms and a pitstop is a terrific time. Better than some of the third place times in recent runs! I'm seriously considering to follow Erik's suggestion and try a free cell, or use the slowest ship ingame, the XC. EC89's acceleration is far, far better than XC's one.
6) Thanks to Miharu and Eonis for hosting, congrats to Mick, Jess and Riyu for their performance, and special thanks to Mecha and Mick for having escorted me during the greyspace segment of the race. Was fun to hear their corvults boost and slow down to keep my pace! :)
7) Since the EC89 has a 48 e/sec drain, it was actually interesting to head for (distant) wormholes when not at full energy, and recharging the battery while boosting! That's the only ship able to do that!

Mecha only killed me twice. Sadly, not a hat trick. Wishful thinking, Miharu!
You're the one who said he did.
I was actually flying my TPG Atlas X, so make that three racers in alternative vehicles. That 12K storm got me too, but I didn't notice any bots...
Good lord. Sorry about that Cranston. XD
