Following recent negotiations a treaty of mutual cooperation has been agreed between our Guilds.
The synopsis of the treaty :
This treaty serves to formalize the friendship and partnership that has always existed between VPR and TGFT in the hope that the exchange of services and funding can be more efficient and beneficial to both guilds. The main objective of this treaty is to allow each guild to perform its primary function without compromise. TGFT, being a trade guild, will be enabled to trade freely without worrying about pirate threats or having to take time from trading to fight them. VPR, being an anti-pirate guild, will be enabled to fight pirates freely without needing to spend time trading to fund the purchase of whatever equipment is needed to effectively neutralize the pirates and whatever they may come to possess. As credits grow more valuable in the VO universe with the introduction of purchasable Capitol Ships and purchasable Stations, this treaty will also grow equally in significance and value.
We look forward to close cooperation between TGFT and Viper throughout the Galaxy

The Vipers are pleased to have the support of our friends in TGFT. Through this partnership, we will ensure the continued growth and success of our respective guilds.
Since our inception, The Vipers have stood for the defense of open trade and travel throughout the Galaxy. Guilds, alliances and wars have come and gone in that time, but our dedication to the protection of trade and commerce has not wavered. With the support of TGFT, we reaffirm our pledge to all traders of every nation and guild.

Trader dog to English translation-TGFT is paying protection credits to VPR, who (unbeknownst to their green-hulled pals) have long been instrumental in maintaining the pirate menace. See, e.g., their being co-opted by Borb.
This will make us stronger. And those that oppose it can take it and place it firmly where the sun doesn't shine.
Serco Prime?
(MiexonBionic, this seems like a step in the direction of my Alliance plan.)
Ecka and Nerde, the Investor's Trading Guild wishes you success with your new treaty.

Yes, Lecter. You've uncovered our secret plan to promote and maintain piracy in all its forms. Darn. I guess our guild should just disband now that everyone knows the truth.
Cui bonum, my reptilian friend.
I am very disappointed to hear this turn of events.
TGFT has traditionally set a standard of excellence, that many other guild strive to match.
While at one time, I applauded VPR for their firm stance against piracy, I have increasing noted a strong anti Serco bias in their dealings. And it is not just limited to anti Serco, but is most specifically pro Itani.
I understand that TGFT is leaning on what resources are currently available for it's rightful pursuit of progress, but I encourage TGFT to make a point to support other guilds that are just as adamantly anti pirate, but less biased in the Serco/Itani conflict.
I hope that given time and proper support, we may eventually see the rise of anti pirate guilds that are far more effective than VPR, and dedicated exclusively to the interest of free traders.

I note your comments with interest Roda , and I thank you for your support of TGFT.
With regard to any perceived national bias in the activities of viper or TGFT it is my opinion that it is due to the current imbalance of serco/itani/uit characters throughout space .
Hopefully the forthcoming faction changes and the possible introduction of a fourth unaligned faction would address this imbalance.

Hahahahaha!
I look forward to the fruits of this treaty between our guilds, it seems as though both stand to gain. Vipers work hard to remain neutral when it comes to the Serco/Itani conflict, and this is particularly evident on our message board. I for one am KOS with Itani and admired by Serco, however I always try to approach Itani and Serco players with an open mind, ready for anything.
Aye, I once had a mind to pursue an honest career of trading after being expelled from the UIT. This was of course after I had been deemed KOS by the Itani and Serco also. Anywho, I planned to move to the dominion to start my new life, and just on the way happened across a Serco convoy under attack. I rushed to it's aid figuring it'd be as good a way as any to begin my new career, but no sooner had I begun firing on it's aggressor, some valk-jock who's name I forget, a Viper pilot flew in and shot me down, claiming I was out looking for an 'easy kill'. When I asked what that had anything to do with pirating exactly, I got no response. Aye, I'm sure Viper works very hard to remain neutral, especially against Serco.
Free trade is the backbone of our great UIT nation. Therefore, I applaud the signing of this treaty. May our co-operation be for the benifit of all people.

i'll betcha nerde verde's the only VIPER that could kill me down when chasing one of them trader scum!
clown....;)
Nope who? me? actually none of the vipers can kill you down while chasing one of the trader scum, the reason for this is theyr ridicolous choise of police ships, rev c ffs!
any pirate know that a rev c cant keep up with any inf boosting ship like a moth or a hog mk2, so while the pirate is cruising after the poor bastard in his moth unloading a full batt of juice on to the bastard just to inf booost away again, the viper is 5 km back trying to kickstart his puny little Rev C.
Even if the viper do get close enought to fire some bullets at ya, his batt is empty in 2 rounds
Dumb ass coppers :P

And so it happened...
