Acting solely on his own recognizance, the newly-sober LT LeberMac of the [ITAN] guild fired their "still-wet-behind-the-ears" diplomat, Councilmember Smittens.

"We're not picking up his option." LeberMac was quoted as saying.

Inside sources relate that the firing is provisional pending the approval of Commander Iry, and that indeed LeberMac may have overstepped his authority again.

Galaxy-wide opinion generally approves of the firing. Since his appointment as Diplomat nearly 2 weeks ago, Smittens has essentially played havoc with Non-Aggression-Treaties between [ITAN] and various trade guilds, with what can only be described as utterly confusing and disastrous results.

As of this writing, it is still unclear whether or not [ITAN] has any NAP's active with any guild, and if so, who those guilds are.

I had no notion smittens was a diplomat, nor did I ever perceive any behaviour that one could with a clear conscience call diplomatic in the guild ITAN.

1) LeberMac doesn't have the authority to demote Smittens

2) Smittens retains his position.

3) LeberMac will treat Smittens to a happy meal

4) A bonus will be added to Smittens' next month's pay as reparation for emotional damages

However, since we are reshuffling the "diplomat position" and associated responsibilities in Itan, I would like to tender my resignation.

As of now I am taking over the position as diplomatic liason for ITAN.

I will NOT Get Smittens a Happy Meal! I want him to wallow in his emotional damage!
