Its unsure that BDC is going Pirate or not. I have to discuss it with my members =) but I think at the side we are looking at now that it would stay as an Serco Defends Guild =)

"That [SCAR] is currently a pussy-assed version of its former self and he has a hard time believing ya'll could crush much more than yer own zits?"
I had to ask someone who you are, and word on the street is that you're "Ehr".
Now correct me if I'm wrong, but if you are "Ehr", didn't the world and his wife see you were using swarms, 2 on 1 and running against [SCAR] last night?
Since you were even being castigated in 100 for your naughtiness by your fellow guild members, even LeberMac himself, it seems you were.
Hard to see why you say they're such "pussies", if that's how it is.

SCAR X is Dr. Lecter, AKA the baddest SCAR mofo back when SCAR actually caused fear everywhere. In fact, back in those days most of the fear SCAR caused was due to him.
So he definitely knows what he's talking about.
Having been around to see the original SCAR and all subsequent permutations, I have to agree with SCAR X 300%.

War is not a game. Serco like you give me the want to vomit. A little criticism might go a long way in improving discipline amongst the military ranks.
The [SCAR] bashing will continue until Serco aggression improves.
Yarr.
On second thought: and until its fruity name is changed back.

If we stop bashing Guilds we'd have nothing to talk about!

I'd like to thank the Corvus News Media conglomerate for that intro, and all of the thread posters before me for keeping the topic current.
On this episode of "Investigative Reports", we would to actually ASK the question:
IS THE COALITION OF ITAN STILL CAPABLE OF DEFENDING THE ITANI NATION?
The answer, sadly, is a resounding NO.
This reporter volunteered to go to the front with a Coalition pilot in order to determine the overall battleworthiness of the Coalition of Itan's forces. The results were disastrous.
After making my application to the Itani High Command regarding this issue, I was assigned to shadow the Lieutenant of the Guild, a pilot whom I'd interviewed before, named LeberMac. Needless to say, I was hesitant to accept a posting with this known drunkard, but the Itani High Command assured me that all would be well. Therefore, I accepted.
After avoiding me for close to two weeks with all manner of clever and stupid excuses and ruses, I finally tracked him down on a specific Tuesday for Combat Border Patrol. Cornered, he was forced to accept me into his combat ship, an IDF Valkyrie. Apparently there was some kind of problem regarding licenses, otherwise we would have been flying in a Valkyrie X-1.
The initial combat sortie went resoundingly well. I admit to some trepidation, but the Serco guise droid pilots are not very talented, and they fell easily to LeberMac's mediocre aim. Looking for a real story, and against my better judgement, I volunteered to accompany this pilot for another round, hoping for some real action.
Unfortunately for me, LeberMac warped into the sector and was immediately overmatched by a single Serco pilot in a SkyCommand Prometheus. I can still smell his panic and the odor of spilled tequila. The ship came apart and... and...
<Camera lingers as Sally Koshuni tearfully and painfully recalls the episode in the stasis pod.>
.. I'm... I'm sorry. It's just a very stressful memory. I can recall diving backwards into the Stasis Pod; thank the stars I decided to bring one. There was the burning of flesh, I saw LeberMac's body vaporize in front of me, and then the stasis pod enveloped me. Everything was calm - I can recall bits and pieces of drifting in space in the pod, I can recall that the beastly Serco kidnapped me and held me for ransom. I also recall being let OUT of Stasis by my superiors at Corvus News Network, who had apparently arranged for my release.
As of this writing, [ITAN] has still not reimbursed Corvus News Network for the ransom fee paid by CNN. That fact, coupled with the news that [ITAN] has still not disciplined their Lieutenant, forced me to write a full report of these proceedings and file it publicly, with an advance copy to the Itani High Command.
The report specifically states that:
1. If LeberMac is the best the Coalition of ITAN has to offer, it is obvious that The Coalition of ITAN is no match for the Serco pilots operating out of Geira, and the fall of Deneb to Serco invaders will happen sooner rather than later.
2. The Itani allow their nation to be represented by this drunk pilot, who apparently has never actually passed a flight test. Recent investigations have uncovered large bribes paid to flight instructors who have evaluated LeberMac in the past. He often misses the station entirely when attempting to dock, and dockmasters across the galaxy cringe when LeberMac approaches their station in any ship larger than a Valkyrie.
3. No attempt was made by LeberMac or any other ITAN pilot to rescue me, nor was any monetary negotiation made to secure my release by the guild or by the Itani nation. After being responsible for my kidnapping, this last point infuriates me personally, and has mobilized the vast legal resources of the Corvus News Network. Suits are being drawn up against the Coalition of ITAN for gross negligence, criminal abandonment, and public indecency.
I have just learned today that as a result of this report, LeberMac has been suspended without pay, pending an internal investigation by the Itani High Command into the Coalition of ITAN. Results of this exhaustive inquiry are expected in about 10 business days.
Further updates as events warrant. This is Sally Koshuni, signing off.

Re: Recent Judgement against you in Corvus Circuit Court
Notice of Summary Judgement
Due to your non-appearance before the court on April 1, the Judge in this case has hereby ordered you to promptly pay the $42 million judgement against you that was brought by the Corvus News Corporation.
I look forward to receiving your check. My client assures me that their reporter is still traumatized by your Lieutenant's lack of skill which caused the situation to develop.
If payment is not received within 15 days, we reserve right to employ any and all Corvus collection agencies to collect this debt. Any information obtained will be used to assist in the collection of this debt.
Very sincerely,
Corvus News Network Legal Department.

How very "legal".

What masterful turn of phrase... I'm traumatized when people lose too! Not.
The facts are pretty clear here. Koshuni wanted a scoop. All the other information presented here proves she knew LeberMac was unsafe, but she wanted to fly with him anyway to get dirt to write about. Well, looks like she got what was coming to her. Combat zones are no place for civilians, and if they absolutely must go there, be in a specially marked ship please. She could have written this report from the safety of a nearby Centaur as easily as riding LeberMac's back seat. Hell, one of us could have flown the 'taur for her.

I will appear before the Itani High Council if that is what is required...
But... um, where is it again? I forget. Eo? Wait, that's not right...

This week on "Investigative Reports"... LeberGate
<Hastily-Composed "LeberGate" Network News Graphic Swooshes in>
<Cut to live shot of Sally Koshuni outside council chambers>
"Thank you for tuning into Investigative reports on the Corvus News Network! We've been following the trial of LeberMac, the disgraced [ITAN] pilot for the past several weeks, and it appears that the Itani High Council is about to make its ruling!
The doors are opening, and the High Council's spokesman is approaching the podium... let's listen live."
Itani High Council Spokesman: Thank you for coming. We have reached a determination regarding the Lieutenant. In the matter of the abducted reporter and subsequent lawsuit imposed upon the Coalition of Itan, we find no fault in the guild nor its members. LeberMac is free on his own recognisance, provided he obeys the court-ordered prohibition from talking to reporters for 90 days.
<General Uproar Ensues>
IHC Spokesman: We will now take questions...
Sally Koshuni: I've got a question, how much did it take?
IHC Spokesman: Excuse me, Miss Koshuni? How much did WHAT take?
Sally Koshuni: The obvious BRIBE, you frontman. How much did the Itani High Council get bribed to serve up this miscarriage of justice?
IHC Spokesman: I think that question is entierly unwarranted, and furthermore I believe that your own personal role in this event has colored your reporting, Miss Koshuni. I suggest moving on.
Sally Koshuni: Moving On? Why you sanctimonoius... <lunges towards stage>
<Security guards converge on Koshuni, pin her to ground, and escort her out of the press area while the press conference continues, as she is kicked out, she sees LeberMac leaving the Council Chambers via a rear exit. He sees her, smiles wryly, and jets off in the official hover-limo.>
Sally Koshuni: commercial.. Go to Commercial! Damn you LeberMac, I'll nail you to the wall for this one.

Sally Koshuni: commercial.. Go to Commercial! Damn you LeberMac, I'll nail you to the wall for this one.
LeberMac walked outside the Council Chambers, after several days of grueling testimony the bright sun of Itan was a welcome sight. The news corps was shouting questions at the Itani High Council Spokesman, and he caught a glimpse of Sally Koshuni being roughed up by security.
Haha, eat concrete, bitch... he thought to himself, as he smiled and waved at the subdued reporter. The hover-limo door opened and he climbed into the darkened recess.
"LeberMac, you DO understand what NO CONTACT means, right?"
LeberMac jumped as he saw his commander Iry as well as Arlina Solestia on the other side of the limo's passenger compartment.
"Oh, Hello." LeberMac said as he composed himself in the seat, unsuccessfully looking for the limo's bar. "Sure, sure, I get it. No talking to reporters, that'll be EASY."
"There's no alcohol." Arlina said.
"What?" LeberMac half-laughed as he continued looking for the minibar, "It sounded like you said there's no alcohol."
"There's not." Iry sedately replied. "Part of the court order is 30 days without drinking, as well as the 90 days without speaking to reporters."
"You agreed to THAT?" LeberMac screamed, "I'd rather have the jailterm for Eo's sake!"
"There's no alcohol in jail, either, Leebs." Arlina said.
"Holy frak I thought we were a civilized society!" LeberMac replied incredulously, "Isn't that against the law or something? Isn't there an Itani Council Bill of Rights that guarantees the right to bear Alcohol or something? Really? No alcohol in jail? Gor'Am Barbarians..."
Iry looked uncomfortably at Arlina. She spoke up, "We confiscated your tequila."
LeberMac, still recovering from the news that there was no alcohol allowed in jail, passed out from shock on the floor of the limo, twitching.
"When he wakes up, we should tell him that it's just for 30 days, then he gets it back." Iry added. "By the way, did you locate his financial records?"
"Of course," Arlina said, "If it wasn't for me, he'd HAVE no financial records. The 40 million will be transferred immediately to the proper Corvus Network News entities. Of course minus the hefty donation to the Itani High Council."
"Good work, Arlina." Iry said. "Now, since the elections process put him back in his LT position, I want you to stay on as his assistant, if you still want the job. Someone has to keep an eye on him."
Arlina cast a sideways glance at the unconscious, drooling LeberMac on the floor of the limo as they pulled up to the spaceport.
"I'll think about it." Arlina said.
