This thread is strictly Out Of Character.
Should you want to make In-Character comments, please choose another thread.

With this post, I bid farewell to my first VO character, Mogul Velaio. I think he was a great character and I had fun with it in all phases of it's 'life'.

Because this account, 'mgl_mouser', is very much associated with Mogul, I will cease logging with it for the VO forums. This is not to say I'm not playing anymore. Far from this. Most already know who my "noob" is and I thank you all for playing along and keeping this character separated from Mogul. It's not often this is done this well.

I wish to thank all players, behind the characters, that help me all along Mogul's 'carrer and life'. Players wich, behind the scene in email, IM or else, have contributed their time in making various events relating around Mogul, and that have contributed their imagination to various story lines wich converged in and out to produce a rich and very intense, fun to read story evolving around many characters.

Thanks to those who appreciated Mogul and all the (subsisting) characters around Mogul.

And thanks to FiReMaGe who put up what I think was the most spectacular kaboom in VO history! Thanks for the many hours of preparation, scripting and putting up with my requests.

Thanks to the devs who allowed this to happen. And maybe one day, someone will be able to repeat this when the WH changes will be possible.

Mogul would be so proud.

The end of the character mogul velaio is kind of bittersweet to me. It's kind of like reaching the end of a good book. On one hand you glad to finnally know what happens. On the other you are unhappy that the story is over because you liked reading it so much and now it's over.

I'm afraid I only got the last chapter...will anyone be so kind as to outline highlights of Mogul's Career?

Holden Caulfield says hi to Mr Velaio in the dead VO characters afterlife. Here, have a martini. You have 24 hr free access to the spa and massage parlour too.

You're welcome. It must be admitted that most of the time was spent on tweaking. Thank you for giving the opportunity to create a spectacular explosion especially because the story is what carried this through. I'm glad I didn't make something explode for explosion's sake.

May your new charater rise. And may more story-originated events take place.

See ya man, it was good knowing you.

I two would like to thank every one that helped out in the event, Mogul, FiReMaGe, the Devs, Miharu, and all the other little people that have helped all of the people in the related stories evolve to this point.

It's bittersweet losing a char, but it's never the end, but only the start. A rebirth, and I wish you luck on your new life, may you be as well remembered on your new char as you where on your old one.

I'd first like to echo everything that's already been said--I personally enjoyed Mogul's company, as did Miharu.

I kinda got dragged into the whole Operation Firestorm saga when MGL's "noob" character dropped into the bar to get food. Nice, short encounter, with a message from "someone" that asked for forgiveness.

Miharu being Miharu, she did. Completely. Hell, I even put up a "You have been forgiven" AIM status message--it worked well, didn't it? ;)

She then started freely giving Mogul food, water, juice, help, anything he needed. She even repaired his Vulture after trying to protect him from Mecha with a rather um... unscripted EVA (thanks RelayeR!).

Recently, she spent a lot of time throwing (or attempting to throw) Leber and the rest of the [Itan] people curveballs. She even spent just under an hour tracking Mogul down in B-8 just a few days ago. 800km is a long way to chase after someone. I'm glad I had a Warthog MkII. :P

Miharu will miss Mogul a lot. She would have been happier if there had been another result (one including a live Mogul at the end), but life isn't fair. Never has been.

Wishing you luck and happiness with any other characters you create and use...

PS: It should be noted that Mogul's saga isn't quite complete yet, either... but all will be revealed in time.

or better yet:

What Miharu implies is that, although Mogul is dead (and he is--Bones never lied), many characters evolving around Mogul's life also have a life and adventures of their own.

We have yet to see what happens with Miharu, Lecter and many other characters our there. We're only beginning to see what's unfolding for others caught in the turmoil like LeberMac, Smittens, Borb and many others.

erik c was made invulnerable during the event so that he could record it. as soon as a torrent is up, it'll be made public at one point or another. lebermac wanted to make a move based on it.

I think, umm, someone missed the notice at the top.

I've only been watching from the sidelines, but thanks for a great RP; it was very entertaining to read/watch. :D

(Now, to track down that n00b character...)

tracking down the n00b character?

everyone knows who it is.
Jun 28, 2006 FiReMaGe link
Actually, no one was made invulnerable. I was busy keeping track of the manual parts of the sequence. Well... I was invulnerable, but no one shot at me.
Jun 29, 2006 moldyman link
Yes, I was definitely not invulnerable. Some shoddy shooting hit me as I taped -.-

EDIT: Speaking of tapes, Tol has it and might be hosting
