Deneb Run #21
TGFT and EnB will again be hosting The Deneb Run this weekend at 2 AM GMT Sunday. Please check /time if you are confused about GMT.
I will be continuing the No Valks rule this week. However, we will be returning to the traditional CLOCKWISE race around the universe.
All citizens are welcome to race, there is no entrance fee, and 4 Million credits in prizes are available. Some of it could be yours, but only if you race!
Once again, the rules are:
1) Racers must race from Odia M14 through Deneb heading clockwise back to Odia M14.
2) Race starts in Odia M14 near the station.
3) Contestants must be within 100m of me before the start
4) No shooting before I start the race.
5) You die and you're out (so no /exploding)
6) All weapons and ships allowed, except Valks.
7) First person to get back and dock at Odia M14 wins the first prize. (2 million credits)
8) Second person back gets 2nd place prize (1.2 million credits)
9) Third person back gets 3rd place prize (800k credits)
10) No Valkyries allowed.
Obviously, a Fast Charge battery and decent ship is recommended.
Please reply to this thread if you intend to race.

I'll try and make it but other things are a bit more important right now. >.>
Possibly no Leber or Monk...less competition...maybe less pirate activity...hmmmmmmmmm
Dammit, I can't participate this week. My idiot sister deleted my Speed Racer account, so now I'm starting from scratch.
(Oh well. When you play exclusively on trial accts for 3 months, you get good at starting from scratch.)

Yeah for the first time in (me counts) 10 races, I won't be there. I'll be ingame though.
Announcing the results of The Deneb Run #21, sponsored by EnB and TGFT.
This week's race saw a return to the regular clockwise route around the galaxy.
The Pilots
----------
fooz2916: UIT, council member of the Cerberes Defense Council, and veteran racer, he placed 2nd in last week's race.
Dragon of Fire: Serco, commander of EnB, also a seasoned veteran and repeat winner of The Deneb Run, he was one of the victims of last week's race massacre.
Screwball: UIT, leiutenant and council member in The Guild of Free Traders, current host of The Deneb Run, and former competitor, he last raced in and won the Deneb Run #9.
The Race
--------
[please check here later]
The Stats
---------
fooz2916 | 33:56 | Orion Hornet, fc batt, 1 gemini
Dragon of Fire | 58:19 | Orion Hornet, fc batt, no weaps
Screwball | DNF | EC-107, fc batt, no weaps
Interesting observations:
1) The group of pilots trying to prevent the racers from finishing is very effective. If you ever wanted to learn how to blockade a station, or run a blockade, this is great training.

In other news, I will not be around for the next two weekends. If someone else would like to host the Deneb Run then, go for it. Otherwise, I'll resume hosting when I get back from my vacation.
Two corrections, this is Deneb Run 21, and Deneb Run #9 was the first race I ever participated in, which I won.
And wow, it was tough getting into that station.

I think you are confused. Here's the link to the Deneb Run #9 results: http://www.vendetta-online.com/x/msgboard/7/11179
You first won the Deneb Run #10: http://www.vendetta-online.com/x/msgboard/7/11366

Hmm, ok my mistake, for some reason I was thinking I first ran in 9.
