Deneb Run #19
TGFT and EnB will again be hosting The Deneb Run this weekend at 2 AM GMT Sunday. Please check /time if you are confused about GMT.
Due to last week's success in attracting a large diversity of pilots, I will be continuing the No Valks rule this week. Also, if the CLM Last Man Standing competition runs past 12:30 GMT due to needing to kill a Leviathan first, I'm willing to delay the start of The Deneb Run by up to 60 minutes.
All citizens are welcome to race, there is no entrance fee, and 4 Million credits in prizes are available. Some of it could be yours, but only if you race!
Once again, the rules are:
1) Racers must race from Odia M14 through Deneb heading clockwise back to Odia M14.
2) Race starts in Odia M14 near the station.
3) Contestants must be within 100m of me before the start
4) No shooting before I start the race.
5) You die and you're out (so no /exploding)
6) All weapons and ships allowed.
7) First person to get back and dock at Odia M14 wins the first prize. (2 million credits)
8) Second person back gets 2nd place prize (1.2 million credits)
9) Third person back gets 3rd place prize (800k credits)
10) No Valkyries allowed.
Obviously, a Fast Charge battery and decent ship is recommended.
Please reply to this thread if you intend to race.

I'm not gonna be out of town I guess, so I'm in. No Valks? OK.
2 AM? Was the time changed or something?
Do you mean today? (as in less than 5 hours from now)
Yes the race is today, but it was always at 1 AM, why's it 2 now?
why not eh?
Crap, why'd I ever bring up that no Valk rule. I'm in, as usual.
Depending on how many people show, I may be racing...or something else.
Heh. They're racing now.
/me beats self in head.

iTripped beat me by FOUR seconds!! I'm starting to regret making that stop in jallik...
Coulda woulda shoulda, move on, DoF.
6) All weapons and ships allowed.
10) No Valkyries allowed.
Well which is it? these contradictory rules are so damn confusing!
I personally think valks should be allowed to race in a different class, but that's just me...
maybe have the valk pilots front entry fees to pay for their own winnings?
ah well, thoughts for next time...

Good catch, Cunjo. I'll have to update the rules text.
