This is an MMO. What impossibly strong ships (cappy) or crazy cash flow of money (we're all millionaires) is intended for having hundred of players on eventually. Since there's only like, 40 of us on any anytime, it's pretty obvious we're getting more then we're supposed to in terms of things to mine, trades to...uhh, trade. And also, we get lots less then we are supposed to (cappy with 2 manned turrets instead of 23). It's hard to design for MMO if only 40 are playing, but its also hard to be in the process of completing the game if there's thousands playing. So, some things we'll just have to bear with.

I love this game. I am currently letting people know that this game must NOT die. Notice there has been more noobs than usally. They have my 10 bucks.

There might be more of them online currently because macgamefiles.com put up the newest version (1.2.3.5) for download yesterday. (As of now there are 3,594 downloads.)

I have seen one forum where a disappointed player said, and I quote:

"I played for a while and didn't like the pvp part. If they would lose that or put into areneas then i would come back..."

Elaborating, seems the player was flying around when someone came up to her bus and just blasted her into atoms, no question asked and no demands made.

So please, even if you're having a bad day and/or are RPing a griefing jerk [EDIT: Please do not "name names" in this kind of context. It promotes flaming. -FM] please do think twice before blasting a confirmed newb!

He's not roleplaying, He just wants to be the new Icarus. Doesn't work well though when half the players don't take him seriously.

I do agree with being careful of noobs, but on the other hand I would have never come back to this game way back when if I wasn't so torqued at Phoenix for wasting my noobie bus. I just couldn't let that be the end of Hoax. I guess an important point was that he was nice and helpful in chat even though he was far from either of those things in space.

I would only blast anyone in grey. And even then if its a noob I hail them.. shoot them a few times and scare them off. Never really kill them just want them to "feel" like grey is dangerous.... till they know better anyway :)

well he attacked me when i was a newb.

Icarus was definitely a noob killer. He also happened to be the best damn pilot I've ever known. The first post I ever made on these boards was a question on how to escape Icarus.
